great win, but...

First off a win is a win, and cincy is a decent team. It was nice to show lance what's what on our home court. Hardy was phenomenal. When we needed it, we finally got the ball to burrell down low and he delivered with a nice baby hook.

But I hope no one takes this game as a sign that norm did anything right. First we were basically handed the game.  Second, when your squad of 5 reserves (hardy, omari, mase, brownlee, and burrell) plays better and exudes more confidence than your starting fice, you should know that the coach is retahded.

Also, what the hell are we calling timeouts for in big possessions if we are going to throw it around the perimeter and then chuck up some bs as the clock runs out?

Norm was smart in subbing boothe and coker out on offense at the end, I guess, but mrs tha kid could figure that out and she knows nothing about bball. 

A win is a win. Great job boys.  Hopefully we build on it. That said, this game further convinced me that norm's a dope, so I am not confident for the rest of the season.

I'll start by saying....a win is a win. And I am happy we got the win.

With another/better coach we win this game by 8+. 

Out FT shooting is awful!!!  The sets we run out of TO's are pathetic!!

Now lets go beat Depaul and build up some of that false hope again.

We should be glad with the win, but if Roberts wants any prayer of keeping this job, he needs to find a starting 5, and a propper rotation.

Evans has a scoreless game? Last year they couldn't stop him w out fouling.

i dont mind the lack of scoring, but if your team cant score, dont turn the ball over! dj had 3 ill-advised passes to the inside that he should have taken to the hole.

hardy is unbelievable, the best recruit thus far for norm.

it was an awesome game to be at...the crowd was actually fantastic.

its unbelievable we won after the way we shot free throws. Hardy was fantastic...with both his 3s and drives and fts. Idk why people think he should start, he is the only guy we can rely on to come in cold and hit shots. We have to work in paris/mase and evans/jb in order to get any production out of them down the stretch, but you throw in hardy and he hits.

Hardy should start because 52 points ain't going to get it done nightly.

-Why the EFF would you full court press with ALL 5 guys up 2 with 7 seconds left? We were asking for a foul/being beat to the basket. Awful decision that we got away with.

-At about 1:00 left in the game, Norm lets our players bring the ball down the court, lets the players throw it back and forth for a few seconds, and then calls a TO with 23 seconds left on the shotclock. THEN, out of the timeout, we have no play being ran, we continue to run our "prevent offense," and we get a shot clock violation called.

-Why were DJ and (to some extent) Hardy sat for extended periods of time? Boggled my mind.

-In the first 8.5 minutes of the game, Norm played TWELVE (12) guys. Yes, I counted. He actually managed to play a 12 man rotation in the first 8.5 minutes. He was going BUCK WILD with the substitutions.

A win's a win, though, and our tournament hopes remain on life support.

Team won a tough game last night , a game I thought they would lose. . GOOD FOR THEM.

They did it despite their inept coach last night.

Good point, although I still like these guys off the bench rather than starting. But they need to get the minutes and be on the floor at the end

Everyone is entitle to there coaching opinions. I strong disagree with some of you thoughts

Anytime a game is under 10 seconds you play man to man pressure the ball. We did not foul and most coaches would play it that way.

I would love to know what we talk about in timeouts when we set a play. I agree it really never works out.

DJ played 30 minutes and if I was the coach he would not have played that many. So far DJ is not getting it done in Big East play. He bounces the ball way to much. He is one of the reason the offence does not follow because he holds the ball and lets defence reset and catch up. Way to many dumb turnovers.

In the 1st 8.5 minutes Norm was looking for someone to step up, but no one did. I agree it looked like a revolving door.

I win is a win. Last year the loss to Cin turned our season for the worst. Maybe beating them this year will turn our season for the best.
