I also heard a compliment on Norm's strategy for adjusting to the zone defense. Well, you can't blame them for not watching.

Did not expect an NCAA season, but shocked at potentially losing 13 league games. Honestly thought the returning kids, Hardy and Brownlee was an improvement. Shame on me!

Boothe had 8 assists, Cuse had 5 guys in double figures. Wow

This might be Norm's worst excuse yet...

We seemed to have a plan for attacking the 2-3.  Went over it when they came out and left the baseline open.  Found the gaps when the back line dropped down low.  Took 3s when they were uncontested.  The problem is that the talent level was just too great.  We missed shots that we could have made and we were killed on the defensive boards.  Cuse got a put back on every shot (however few) that they missed.

Burrell was timid inside and preferred to take 12 ft jumpers...but he made most of them.  Evans doesn't box out.  Coker got pushed around inside.  Brownlee played well when he was in there.

The game went pretty much as I expected it would.  We were just outclassed...as we all knew we would be.

Simplyred said most of it! How do you not play DJ. He is by far our best player. I am not saying he is great just our best player. What kind of coach doesn't play his best player? DJ has to play 35 + and Burell has to play 30+. Would have lost anyway. The game looked like a coached up JV playing the varsity. Boothe played good but he should have only played 5/10 minutes. DJ and Omari should have run point against zone. How do you not play Omari last 8 minutes when game already decided? I love Mase but his career at SJU is over. 8 minutes in Dome VS #1 team could have been great experience for Omari. Another loss. God Damn I am tired of losing!

I was told that DJ didn't start because he was late to a team meeting or a press engagement.  Still no excuse for sitting him the first 6 minutes of the 2nd half though....

Just be glad you didn't have to watch the game with 26 thousand Cuse fans.  Man we suck, guys showed no emotion and their bench could have beaten us.  Sad to watch just sad.

Is that a joke? He didn't really say that.

Yes, he did actually say that. I am not kidding.

Burrell and Horne had some disheartening quotes after the game

Burrell: “I understand why people say we haven’t improved. I believe (we have) in my heart, but I guess the facts say (we’re) not.

P. Horne:"We ought to be getting our share. It hasn’t happened..Other teams? I don’t know. They get the wins. We’ve got to find a way”

Those are from Rubin.

I'm pretty sure he has beaten six.  ND last year, Cuse 2 years ago, ND 2 years ago, NC State in his first year, Pitt and Louisville in his second year.

If he didn't want to hassle himself with research, he could've just looked down on the table at the rosters.

A jocksniffing Villanova alum helped get him a job at ML (before its nosedive). I was surprised to see him do SNY high school basketball last month.
