How would you feel if Norm Roberts got a promotion?

i'm all for it as long as he's not coach.  not sure how successful he'd be though, based on performance as SJU coach...

Honestly, where does this ish come from?  How is he qualified to be an administrator?  He has a PE degree from Queens College.  He has failed miserably as a basketball coach, so let's give him a job as an administrato?  WTF?!?!?!

Dave, I for one would not care if he assumed a role like Ron Rutledge's if it expedited the process of getting a new coach. I don't believe in rewarding mediocrity, but what the heck. Can't see Norm doing it, but then again they can make it sound like it was his choice IMHO.

But in truth, employees of a corporation can be restructured, or given new (less injurious) job titles.  Moving Norm to something else would be quite corporate-style.

Norm Roberts is still a person with a family. He's been a good representative for the University. I think its certainly worth discussing...besides do we have too many other things to discuss lately?

  Please spare me the sob story. I was out of work w/ 3 kids for over a year. I didn't get any handouts.He got paid quite well for his work here. This "family' stuff is enough to make me puke.

I would welcome norm in another capacity. He has been a great ambassador. That said, I think Norm will get a shot elsewhere and I think he should and will take it.  Down the road when his coaching career is over, he can come back, at least in my books.
