Was this Report: as in lenn robbins reports that sources say...or a report to ESPN from St. John;s?

It was referring to Lenn's report, but they usually won't air stuff like that unless they are sure it's true.

There are a couple of ESPN reporters on campus right now.
Randomhero?(classof2013?) ;)

Zags also reported Norm gone...according to Lenn Robbins. So this is all NY Post hype (typical). It could very well be true though but I don't think St. John's would do anything until post season tournaments are officially out of the question for St. John's.

I don't know where ESPN got their info but the did say, which a headline,

"Norm Roberts will not be retained as St.john's Head Coach"..  nice timing,  Poor Norm is sitting with BT doing the redstormreport while this comes out...

the guy is a trooper

It's his job.  He gets paid hundreds of thousands of dollars.  It's what he should be doing.

yep and that's just not right for them to do it while he's taping. Should have done it before so he didnt have to go thru that

I just saw on the ESPN bottom line, SJU coach Norm will not be retained, according to a report by the NYP

For all we know Norm has known for a week and they are working out a Rutledge/Mahoney role for him which is why they aren't announcing it...it's his job until he is officially fired.

Yep, and I wouldn't read too much into this show, I'm pretty sure he gets paid to do it so he is just doing his job.  He hasn't been officially fired yet so there is no reason not to do the show.
