They should have used the money they used to build Taffner and the D'Angelo Center and put it towards a new on campus arena.
You mean something better than MSG? Taffner serves as a facility for athletics as well as students and D'Angelo improves the recruiting marginally by making the campus nicer.
More fans of the other team go to MSG than the STJ fans do. That's why we need for either Lavin to turn the team into a year in year out winner, or a new on campus arena we play our home games at so we at least have home court advantage.
Taffner wouldn't even be needed if we had a nice arena with good facilities, and the D'Angelo Center is nice but pretty useless.

Taffner is great it gives the players a home. They chill in that locker room all damn day. They have their own private weight room and there is a big difference in the players strength pre and post taffner (coach dixon is a big reason too)
Also the D'Angelo center is SICK! I walked around that place and some of the conference rooms in there are amazing and from the outside the building is whoa. This will bring in more $$$ from donors which is important and it only adds to the school's prestige.
