Does he have offers from those schools?  Or are those just the schools showin interest since the decommit?  I follow VT pretty closely, and there hasn't been any mention of Jevon on their boards....

I think if you choose a school to go to, and then change your mind that school should be done with you.
It shows immaturity, a lack of character & straight up fear.

All of which I'm not interested in.

Malik Stith committed to St. John´s, then he decommitted and he finally committed again.

And you speak well about Malik in the thread: "For those of you who keep talking about Stith transferring...read this"

Agreed no need to rush a decision if he is not 100%. If we are the right place for him i'd welcome him back with open arms but I wouldnt wait on him

There is a possibility that he will prep for a year. In that case he could be a nice 2013 recruit

Rysheed Jordan, 6'4" PG out of Philly, is the focus of this staff at the guard position for the 2013 class.

Yes, I like Stith. But make no mistake about it, I don't like what he pulled.
It's childish. And let's be clear, that was a different time.

Norm Roberts instilled confidence in no one.

A borderline top 100 kid gets a chance to come here and play, and he throws it back in Lavin's face because he's afraid the job won't be handed to him on a platter. Yes, that pisses me off. Look elsewhere. Send a message.

We're done kissing the asses of 16 year old kids. Good luck at Umass.

Easy now!  Yes, most of us do not cotton to recruits backing off, but afterall they are only 16-18 years of age.

Apparently, Jevon is worried about playing time when KA comes on board.  I would too, if I were in Jevon's spot.  Jevon is out for himself, and there is nothing wrong with that.

However, Coach Lavin is out to field the best darn BB team in the country.  So Jevon, look at our roster now and what it will be in a few weeks.  They could have made you look real good and allowed you to make a run for the top assists position in the NCAA.  The Team always comes first in big time college BB.

Coach will always try to bring in the best talent each year.  That is his job.

So maybe it is better that Jevon leave us now rather than pout during his freshman year with KA leading us.

Jevon didn't really stick out at all. He was similar to about 9 other PGs at camp. He is definitely good but replaceable.

Per NBE Basketball....

Jevon Thomas (New York Gauchos/2012) – Recently de-committed from St. John’s, Thomas took to the floor with the Gauchos today and while the team struggled as a whole he was very efficient offensively. Thomas is a blur with the ball in his hands and his coast to coast speed fueled the breakneck pace at which the Gauchos like to play. He finished plays both at the rim and by pulling up for mid range jump shots but didn’t show range past 16 feet. He needs to continue improving the range on that jumper to keep defenders from constantly going under screens at the next level but otherwise Thomas easily looks the part of a high-major point guard.

According to Zags Jevon is now saying he wants to leave NY and his only two offers are Towson and Penn St.

Interesting.  Some took Jevon leaving as a measuring stick on Kyle Anderson coming.   And now his biggest "offer" is another one of Kyle's "final 5".....

I know I did. Baldi just loves the word 'qualitized'

But is he going there for a quality education?  My sense is that the kid did not pan out to be as good as advertised.  If he were, there would be plenty more interest then he is getting... SHU is in desperation mode.
