Harkless is scheduled for an unofficial on Sept 2 per post on his thread.

What's the diff between an "unofficial" & showing up on campus like yesterday ?
we know local kids show up on campus all the time.
Are the "coach contact" rules different ?
(from 8/2/10 to 9/6/10 is a "quiet period")

An official is a paid visit by the school, whereas an unofficial is a paid visit via the player visiting the school.

The official visit cannot last more than 48 hours. That is why you usually see a player officially visit on a Friday and leave on a Sunday.

I'm gonna assume an unofficial visit rules are a bit more lenient than an official.

In Harkless case, on yesterday....  It was really no different than an unofficial.  It was an unpaid visit and if he spoke to any of the coaches; it was done on campus.

The games will sell out if the students have any self respect at all.

Then I guess the answer is "no, they won't sell out."

Wait who can't have contact with a recruit on campus?  A student?

Alumni, media, anyone acting in university interest. Only the coaches and university employees are suppose to have contact with them. I've been told not to communicate with recruits on campus by university administrators and I willingly comply.

Student season tickets are only 100 dollars this year and i heard your basically just paying for the MSG games. I heard CA games will be free this year or they are free for season ticket holders. Hopefully the students will come out

Season Tickets are 99 dollars for students, individual games at CA were 5 dollars and I think garden tickets were 10 dollars each in advance (15 dollars day of game). We sold out the student sections at CA last year, I know some students that bought tickets day of game were given tickets up in the rafters instead of behind the baskets. Student attendance was horrible at the Garden, but I think it's fair to blame the noon tips against Nova & WVU last year, I was at both games with a few friends and it required us to set our alarm clocks & leave campus at about 1030am which for a Saturday when your not working isn't the first thing that most students want to do. I'll be getting my tickets soon, I work at the games out at CA so won't be in the Student section for most of those games but I'll be at the Garden regardless of what absurd time they decide to have the tip.
