What I don't understand is that tying himself to Morton does nothing to the kid but make him look bad.  Whitehead would have been excellent even if he played at another school.  Whitehead can write his own ticket without Morton.  I'm really not sure why he'd tie himself to this.  Doesn't make much sense to me because the kid doesn't need Morton for anything?

Hopefully the kid passes on these types of dealings and rebuffs the player/coach package deal nonsense.

But then why the talk of Trevonn Morton? And why the removal from psal? At the same time the removal of Antigua on seton hall? I respect being optimistic.. But those are all red flags

One thing is certain - I will accomplish nothing at work today.

Evan Daniels @EvanDanielsFOX
It will be a surprise, per my sources, if Isaiah Whitehead doesn't choose Seton Hall at his press conference this afternoon.

Perhaps you are right.  Converting "confident" to hopeful. Prepared for bad news, but life will go on.

Where's Kenny pretolow when you need him

Now there is name from the past - I used to battle it out with KP & Joe Francis coaching CYO back in the day. KP was Omar Cook's CYO coach...

Feeling like you have someone on the staff who has your back and your best interest at hand no matter what is powerful.  Explaining to IW that Tiny, who IW trusts immensely, will be his 1:1 skills coach etc means a lot.  Couple this with giving IW the guarantee to start right away with offense running through him and that Tiny will have a huge part in the offensive scheme development....and there you have it.

I'm hoping he ends up here but this would be the appeal...

This could've been worked out weeks, months, or a year ago though.  Why would Seton Hall wait till the last minute if they were willing to offer Tiny a job.

Probably didn't know they had a realistic shot, and once they figured out that's all they had to do to seal the deal. They pulled the trigger

What I don't get is why would a parent ever let a coach leach onto their kid? If a hs coach tried to sell himself as a package deal with my son I would tell him to go f himself.

We will see what happens in a few hours

All speculation til the kid decides.  We know that his mom likes STJ
