 If Hardy keeps playing like this maybe the original question isn't such a reach?    I'll gladly admit to being dead wrong if Hardy leads us deep into the BE tourney and into the Ncaa's.

Last season Hardy averaged 22 mpg. Boothe averaged 33.7. I do not think Hardy has improved that much I just think Norm was a really bad coach

Hardy and Hatten's stats per 40 are a lot closer. Efficiency Hardy may have an edge offensively but as I stated previously Hatten was head and shoulders better defensively.

Last night Hardy's defense was head and shoulders above the way Hardy has played defense at St.John's.

he definatly wanted to outplay him, but thats one of the biggest problem with us, we only do good when we want to outplay people, how the hell was rutgers that close, wagner, loss to fordham and bonnies,.... we didnt care about those games or teams so they didnt play....... the team needs to figure out to be hyped up before hand, i dunno, maybe dj was pissed the steelers lost?...

  Hatten was 29% for his career.  he average 21ppg for his 2 seasons at st.johns.  His stats are below.

I believe Hatten averaged even more points in BE play.
I was at the game where he dropped 34 on Uconn.

 Just going off strictly memories, because i can't find Hatten's game logs.  Hatten was more consistent i think.  Always scoring 18-25 a game and then really going off when the spotlight was on.   Hardy's last 3 have been great, no doubt. And like other have said,  Hatten was a killer on D.

 One thing that they both have on common is that they get to the line a lot.  Thats what scorers do.

Boothe averaged 33.7 mpg two seasons ago. Last year 25.3.

  you are exactly right , carmine. A kid named Mullin played D the same way, minus the speed though. A lot of Hatten's steals came from leaving his man and attacking someone else's.   More a freelance defensive specialist as opposed to a lock down stopper, like paris.  need both types to have a great defensive team.

Hattan is gone just like my, would love to say my youth so then middle age. Siden and Jackson  from my youth (college years) are really gone. Well Hardy is here now and I find no reason to look for flaws in his game. Just enjoy!
