I think a 6 seed against a first four team is better than a straight 5 seed.

I agree....I would take that draw in a second.  2nd round game VS Wisky would be a tough draw....but at that point once you get to the 2nd round you're gunna have a tough game.  Plus, this team has shown they can beat anyone on a given night!!

I don't like the draw at all. We play better when we can get out and run. I Think we can get a better seed, so 1st round game hopefully would be easier. Butler would be tough. In second round I hope we play someone from pac 10 or SEC. Would rather play a team like florida then Wisconsin.

Man this is fun to look for.  Sports Illustrated has us as a 4 seed, pairing up with UTEP.  The possible second round match up would be the UNC vs Cleveland State winner in Tampa.

Studious bubble watchers will notice the Watch's latest addition to the ever-growing Big East locks category. Yes, let's give a hearty lock-status welcome to the St. John's Red Storm, who have now won four games in a row versus likely or possible NCAA tournament teams, capped off by Saturday's one-point win over possible No. 1 seed Pittsburgh. The Watch is not accustomed to locking in teams with nine losses, but the Johnnies' always-impressive computer profile (RPI 12, SOS 1) is now accompanied by wins over -- get this -- Duke, Pittsburgh, Georgetown, Notre Dame, Connecticut and at West Virginia, all of which rank in the RPI top 20 as of Monday night. Simply put, double-digit losses or not, there's no way this team misses the tournament.

I can think of a scenario where we miss it.

0 and 4 in the remaining conference games then a 1st round conference tourney loss.

0-4 with Big east loss might do it, but we would have to do pretty bad for that to happen,... and i think 0-4 we might have a shot anyway because of the teams we beat.

Palm actually moved us to a 7 seed (from a 6 last week).  Maybe he's a Pitt fan.

Palm is a nice person. We're a 5 seed worst case scenario.

#5 seed in Tampa with a possible second round match-up with Florida

If our second round matchup was vs. Florida, you can pencil us in for the sweet 16.  I don't care if it's in Tampa, they are no good.

I don't think they are awful but I definitely think we could beat them handily.  Would present a nice match-up for Boothe will a reunion with Erving Walker.

UF has quality individual parts, but they play in a bush league conference w no real threat. UK blows. Tenn blows. Alabama has a SOS of 180.

UF would have trouble with our defense. I watched them beat Georgia last night. That's another lousy team. All you have to do is take away the 3 point shot, and UF f'd.

I think we deserve a better seed but this would be great draw. Second round games are always tough, but playing Florida would be better then others.

Wow! Whats the limit of how high we can go? I dont think the 2 more reg season wins moves us off the 4 line unless teams above us lose, so what type of BET run moves us even higher?

O boy would I love a 2nd round matchup with Kentucky. They are GARBAGE. If this was the bracket if we could handle Jimmer a possible 3rd or 4th matchup with ND for a trip to the final 4. What a game that would be.
