Ricardo Gathers (Riverside Academy 2012) – Gathers listed Baylor, NC State, St. John’s and Florida as his 4 favorites with LSU and California also heavily involved. He said that Kentucky coach John Calipari has been to see one of his games but hasn’t been in contact. Duke has offered but has only been in contact once during the season and stands clearly below his top 4. Gathers does plan to visit Duke along with NC State, Florida and Baylor.

I believe the Duke interest is contingent on NOT landing Tony Parker....

Jefferson is involved somewhere in that scenario as well.

Duke has really turned it up on Jefferson.

Jefferson is a prototypical Duke recruit.  I'd be shocked not to see him end up a Blue Devil.

Some one must of told him that hes opinion of comparisons is well respected. I personally think hes way off on a lot of the ones he makes.

Personally I find his player comparison tweets to be sooooo annoying.

I don't care about what Amile is doing.  We need to land Ricardo period!  I believe he wants to come here.  He's an elite recruit that would dole out some serious damage next to the best SF in the Big East in Harkless and one of the best SG's in the Big East next year in D'Lo Harrison.  SJU is such a great situation for Gathers to step into. Gotta land ths kid.

Glad to know i'm not the only one who gets annoyed with all those comparisons. I've seen "So much Salim Stoudamire in D'Angelo Harrison...." about 7 times and "Maurice Harkless is a poor man's Rudy Gay" about 4 times. Hopefully next year when he covers St Johns we get a "So much Kurt Thomas in Ricardo Gathers...." or something along those lines

I think I used that one already...lol. How about Danny Fortson and Gathers? Fortson had longer arms though. People must remember that comparos are just stylistic, not necessarily in terms of impact.

  Fortson was the first name that came to my mind .  Anyone remember Tony Gonzalez when he played ball for Cal?   I can see that.
