BTW Mo Harkless has put on 15lbs since high school season and plans to put on 15 more by September. Not bad weight either, counts his calories, works out religiously, looking to model himself after Wesley Johnson.

I've noticed Sampson seems to be bulking a bit too.  Guys like Pointer and even Harrison are pretty well put together even now.  Pelle needs strength for certain.  God's Gift needs little more than he has already.

garrett looked bigger each time I saw him play this year as well
*wipes ketchup from his eyes* - I guess Heinz sight isn’t 20/20.

Dam Polee See you in the NBA
Attack basketball, pressure defense, 40 minutes of hell ... Early on it might be 30 minutes of hell, then 10 minutes of what the hell are you doing?"

When you think about it, Polee was the most valuable high school player in Los Angeles. Question, after seeing him for a year, did he really warrant that title?

What annoys me is that two loya, long suffering seniors, Evans and Burrell both lost time to Polee.  Then, at the first sign of a little competition and adversity he goes running back to his Daddy in Cali.  Pretty selfish and spineless to me.  He could have at least given it a year and seen how it worked out.  Instead two of our seniors had they're cereers derailed.  I don't wish him or his father well.  If he's really NBA material he's going to have to prove it somewhere and it's not going to be handed to him like Daddy wants.  We'll be fine.  Don't much care about him.
the only people who derailed Evans and Burrell's careers were Evans and Burrell-get real!

Realistically, you both have a point.

Think he played Evans correct?  I don't.  Then he needed him when DJ went down and he wasn't ready.  Burrell's 6th man award was a joke.  It was the 5th man role that was screwed up.  Polee had no business starting.

Well, you are probably right but Polee starting did allow for the staff to spread out the fouls for Burrell and Evans. Evans was truly lost the first half of the season and had no business being on the court.

In case you forgot. Last year turned out to be very successful.  I'd say, with the exception with a few early games, the staff was on point all year. Nothing was screwed up.  At one point we were playing as well as anyone in the country, with Polee starting. Everyone had a role and filled it well.

i don't think there's a coaching staff in america that could have done better with this class.  21 wins and kennedy went down...incredibly big wins we couldn't have dreamed of before...great back page coverage.

i think bobre has evans confused with charles barkley.  evans was a nice player...but no way was he a difference maker.

we was a top 15-25 team if I'm not mistaken. we beat the top teams in the country. i dont know about sean but justin was very happy. its not about him starting and having no fire power off the bench. lav was smart. maybe he knew polee wouldn't give him anything off the bench so he kept burrell and evans there to provide fire power. it worked!!! and wether the award was a joke or not he won it. all rookie team and 6th man of the year I'm not complaining at all.

And there was a post the other day by Gonzalo about Burrell about to have a workout in front of 20 NBA teams. All he has to do is impress the right person there and he may just get his shot at the NBA. If not, he makes money overseas and comes home with a hot ass European or Asian wife. Not bad for a guy who took a ton of shit from posters on all three St. John's boards.

Not sure what Evans is up to, but he should takes his one year of football eligibility and get a year of grad school under his belt.

Great news for him. Hopefully same fate awaits him that I think awaits Burrell.

With the way the dollar has declined over the years against the Euro I'd rather get paid in Euro and take the hotass Euro wife aka Anna Kournikova.

But you cant go wrong with a hot asian wife either :)

A lot of them saw him in the past but he lost a half a year in his senior season.  Then it was double doubles at the end of the year despite the lack of run.  He deserved better and all he got was the game ball vs Duke.  Lavin did a great job in most aspects but we lost a couple we wouldn't have w/o Evans and it affected our seeding.  I'd wish him the best wayyyyy before Polee and noone has gone to the trouble.

Your infatution with Evans is bordering on creepy now.

I agree, just not sure that is necessarily worse than the pitiful that preceded it.  ; )

I guess you don't remember the Fordham and Bonnie games.  Lavin finally figured it out and Evans produced.  Too bad some of the posters still haven't given him his due.  Now THAT'S creepy.
