I love how everyone mentions that he doesn't have coaching experience.  He has 17 years of experience in the NBA as a COACH ON THE FLOOR.  It remains to be seen how he handles the clubhouse and personalites (I think he'll do fine there), but he has forgotten more basketball then most of these coaches have ever known.
You forgot his four years in the NCAA.  These are things I've been saying all along.  Above all Mark is a class act in a league which needs people like him.  He is a tremendous bargain right now.  He might not have made the splash Lavin did but he would have been a huge bargain for us in the long run too.  I'd never bet against the guy and I wish him all the best.  Hope he gets the max out of David Lee.  When the Knicks dumped him I abandoned ship for good and I don't care how many overpriced superstars they bring in.  The only shame is that Cali got him.  Same story with Mullin.  Only the Knicks are stupid enough to ignore or trade away SJU stars.  I wouldn't spend the $$$ going to one of their games but I might give the Nets a go if they ever get to Brooklyn.

Tough job. Right now,I cant name 1 player on the Warriors
No Monta Ellis or Stephen Curry?  :o

Of course I know who they are, but what team they are on is another story.  NBA sucks
I cannot disagree with you - it's like fingernails scraping the blackboard...

Also, don't forget David Lee, GS is a good, young team, I wouldn't be surprised if they are a playoff team in the next few years if they get a couple more role players. Right now their problem is defense.

yep, if they're smart, GS will reach down in the 2nd rd and snag Rick Jackson.  With Lee, they'll be beasts down low. No one will outwork Jackson - great success story he created through taking care of his eating habits and training like crazy.

Hope he doesn't try to steal back Rico!  We NEED him to work with the rookies!
