I think a lot of our guys will be in the NBA.
Could be that all 9 guys make the league.

Lavin is kind of known for that.

This is the same site that had DJ Kennedy, Anthony Mason, Lamont Hamilton and Justin Brownlee as second round picks--with Cedric Jackson as a first round pick for a little bit.

Justin Brownlee is going to be a solid NBA player.
The NBA isn't so smart. They drafted a lot of sh*t.

Do these guys really think players like Josh Smith and Kendall Marshall will still be around for the 2013 draft?

As a Bruin fan I can hope, but realistically?  I can't see Smith lasting past this coming sophmore year.  Same with Marshall at UNC....

Smith was awesome against the SJU frontcourt, but in the NBA his weight problem wont fly.
See Mike Sweetney.

NBA teams would rather pick a 28 year old foreigner from Qatar rather than giving guys like Brownlee a shot. NBA is outsourcing too

Seems like Parrom is a big reach at 29, or is he expected to improve that much ?

I think if the NBA is going to draft forgeign players they should be forced to expand, or the teams should taxed millions of dollars for outsourcing.

Disagree.   If the Rules allowed teams to invest a draft pick on  a US kid with the option to sign him when he's ready (they changed that rule after the Celts landed Larry Bird with the 6th pick in '78, knowing they coudn't get him till after the '79 season), those 2nd round picks would be mostly college kids.     How about  a team could draft the rights to any player, and hold those rights for 4 years (without it affecting the kids eligibility with the NCAA)?  You'd see very FEW Euros going late, and US kids being gobbled up.    With their rights preserved, the teams could even farm out a project to italy or greece for a year or two and still be protected.   Investing a draft pick under current rules for US playesr is too much of a crapshoot unless the kid is a realative sure thing (and there's not many of those in the late 1st and 2nd round).

US players DO get a shot, just as Browlee will.  Just not as good a shot to be drafted.   NBDL, an overseas contract for a year or two - or if the league actually has camps this year - wangle an invite and get a chance to impress and earn a spot on the bench.

Or you treat foreigners as Free Agents like MLB.

As I remember, he was supposed to go to Xavier but when Miller took the Arizona job he took him with him. Or was that when Book went to Zona ? Can't remember exactly.

Marillac loves to hate on Nuri.   ;)

For college, no...but this kid will not be in the NBA in the next two years.  He will have to prove that he can run a team, shoot from the perimeter, and defend.  Those are a lot of question marks for a 22 year old with one season of low-level JUCO.

I hope I'm wrong, because if Nuri is NBA good then we probably win 20 games.

Sampson, Pointer, and Harkless all look like better NBA prospects to me...Pelle as well.

I'm not sure he's even 21 yet.  Nevertheless, he may not be ready for the NBA after one major D-1 college season, but he could very well be ready after two seasons.  It remains to be seen.  Low-level JUCO is a bit of a reach.  He probably didn't play in one of the best divisions, but I wouldn't necessarily consider it low-level.

Finally, I do agree that the frosh you mentioned probably are better long-range NBA prospects at the end of the day.

Correct.  He's ranked as a top level JUCO and impact player next year for a reason.
