Keep fighting the good fight, fordham...It's really unethical to relay such specific info, regardless of how incorrect or correct the info may be...Especially when agendas are involved

And thanks to munch for bringing some good info and clearing up any biased info out there

Can't wait to see Darrick playing for the Johnnies

Before you sleep, you need to admit that Susan Lucci was the one who got you all hot and bothered, and that this young nobody was simply the closer in an already out of reach game.

Hypocrite?  Wonderlic tests?  And your posts mean what?

The clueless leading the clueless.  His sources told him that Ben Howland was a goner abd Jevon Thomas was headed to SHU (a private bet Pat made BTW).

But I must say never has someone said so little about so much and known so much about so little.  Your posts as always are not only warranted but brilliantly formatted.

I must say I wait in anticipation for you to tell me your opinion on what I care about.

This board has never been the same since you told me Norm Roberts was the wrong for SJU.

Good night and may the force be with you.

Can we just move on from the personal attacks already?  Darrick one way or another will play for us and that's the important thing. I disputed PMG'S claim that Darrick was that far off from qualifying because i knew as a fact that it wasn't the case. Pmg seems like a good guy with some good sources as does Fordham.  Susan Lucci or Kate Upton anyone??

Does Darrick redshirt?

Some Rutgers poster on their site said he saw Lavin in Soho with a recruit, that fit Darrick's description and the fan heard the word redshirt used.

Remember though even if it does decide to redshirt, and it makes some sense considering the depth SJU has at the position, that does not impact in anyway the fact that Darrick needs to qualify and cannot attend a BE school per BE rules if he doesn't.  Redshirt or not he needs to qualify before he attends SJU.

How did the Seton Hall center Johnson enroll and not qualify? I have always been confused with the Big East rule.

The NCAA does give exceptions (See Rob Thomas) a.  They no longer officially use the term partial qualifier but it is a way of referrign to these type of players.  For the most part the NCAA deems you a Qualifier or Non-Qualifier.  But they do allow for some exceptions for various reasons.  Those exceptions are allowed by the Big East.

So in a way the Big East allows for partial qualifiers.

Great debate guys, I am poolside at The Atlantis enjoying some sun and cold beverages.

For those who stuck up for me, thank you.

Just because a player doesnt qualify does mean he failed class and I NEVER said Darrick Wood failed.

One thing Fordham - I used the term "widely known in the basketball community" and that is 100% accurate.

LOL.  Fordham brawls with with PMG, tells ThaKid not to boss him around, and somehow pissed off WASJU in one thread.  It's like he's using Marillac's fave posters as a hitlist.  Watch out, LJSA, next he's gointo to say your'e not funny.

FWIW, Bridgton has the the best school to "qualitize," as Baldi would say, kids that didn't couldln't make the cut academically.  75% of the school, all post-grads, are there becauase they need to work on academics.  The school has a huge althletic focus and works the NCAA clearinghouse on a nearly daily basis. If they thought Wood didnt have a chance, he would have known long ago.  Bridgton also has an SAT prep program and Saturday classes.  NIA scares me, but Bridgton might be the one place that can straighten that up in just a year.

Reassuring post by Marillac.  Sounds like Wood found the right place to get straightened out and qualified.

Would Darrick red shirting be a result of academics, because if it wasn't it would make more sense if it was Felix redshirting
