I'd lose the St.John's above the ball, or lose the ball.

It reads St.John's St.John's now. One is all you need.

Poison, you can't create your own authentic St. John's jersey with the correct logo, color, number font and everything. If you can then prove me wrong...I will buy from you.

Me too man, there is no way to buy any good SJU gear online. I always look and always end up empty.

I tried to order that sweatshirt, but obviously they will probably deny it because it's all logos. That makes it impossible to get any cool SJ gear unless SJ or Nike makes it. No shorts, no jerseys, no sweatshirts, maybe 1 or 2 t shirts I've ever seen have any cool SJ basketball styles on them

I think it fills up the space better as it is. It's the same thing as having New York Jets spelled out with the oval NYJ logo underneath.

I wouldn't wear an authentic St.John's jersey if you paid me. Why not make something for an adult, or least a young adult? You don't need an authentic jersey, unless you're a player, or your 8.

Poison, so why do NFL jerseys sell so well? Why do NBA jerseys sell so well? Hell even MLB jerseys sell. You may not wear jerseys of your favorite teams, but that makes you an overwhelming minority I would say.

In the rare event I find any kind of jersey this is what I get "Sorry, we no longer carry this item."...every single jersey is either no longer available, or doesn't exist. Literally all they have is Mullins jerseys Nike made for 140 bucks because they're throwbacks.

It is certainly embarrassing trying to buy something for your son at MSG for the NotreDame game and all they have is NotreDame gear.
When you're a kid from New York and you do it in New York, that lasts forever!

If you're an adult, and you're not in a gang wearing an NBA jersey probably means that you work in the mail room.

I don't know whats worse:  seeing a grown man's hairy armpits or the ridiculous look of wearing a tshirt under the basketball jersey.

Poison, you are just flat out wrong here, there really is no argument on your side. First off I guess it's important to define "Adult". I would say an adult is someone 18 or older, because that's the law's definition. If you consider adults to be only in their 20's and up, you still lose. PLENTY of 20 somethings own and wear jerseys of their favorite teams. Look at football games. You mean to tell me that the only people with jerseys on are below 20? Wow, just wow. Ever been to a tailgating party? What do they wear suits? Uhm, no. It's grown men with their sons, brothers and friends with jerseys on many times. How can it be seen as immature to wear a jersey if the very players who wear them are all adults? Do you seriously see a 40 year old man with a Jets jersey on watching the game and think to yourself "omg he is so immature why doesn't he have a suit and tie on?!"? Some things are debatable...this isn't. Maybe if you were arguing 80 year olds don't wear sports jerseys you'd have a point. But for many guys out there I would bet at least half own at least 1 jersey from 1 of their favorite teams.

Fireman Ed is a perfect example. What is he 50? He wears jerseys. So do many people in the stadium.

Fireman Ed is a perfect example. A perfect example of a nice person.

St.John's fans don't wear jerseys to games because they've just come from a day at the office, and yes, unless your day at the office is delivering mail, you're not wearing a jersey to work. If St.John's fans did wear jerseys to games, you could go just about anywhere, and buy one, but since they don't, you can't.

That said, who am i to tell you what to wear? If you really want one, go on EBay, I'm sure you can find a #2 real cheap.

I think the companies are waiting to see what the demand actually is for St Johns jerseys before they make any big commitment.  We've had only one good year over the past 10, and despite last years success and our recruiting class, I don't believe that we have proven ourselves enough just quite yet. Once we become more consistent on a year to year basis, more merchandise will become available.

And yes, we have the new york market, which is a huge advantage, but we also have syracuse (who has one of the top selling jerseys) taking a large part of that market.  And you also have to look at the national market.  How many people across the US are looking to buy our jerseys? I don't live in the state of New York, and when people see me wearing my St. Johns merchandise, they often ask where St. Johns is, or what sport I am supporting.

The national recognition just isn't there right now, and I don't see anyone producing jerseys unless they believe they can sell them nationally.
