A lot of the games we have been competitive in, we have been the more athletic team.  Now we face a team that is more talented and just as athletic.  I think this will be over 10 minutes into the game.  But I hope I am wrong.  95-62 Bad Guys.

What the heck happened to our giant killer mantra? STJOHNS 86 UK 79. Youth beats youth, get them in foul trouble and just out score them.

Not to mention ODU played these guys tough and played there starting 5 all over 30 minutes a piece 7 guys in total played over 5 minutes. ( 6th and 7th man played 5 and 10 minutes respectively, both guards). in this rotation that I just mentioned were only 2 players at least 6'8.  I believe we stand a chance.

Well maybe if they have 21 TO's like they did against ODU, we have a chance.

If Old Dominion forced 21 turnovers that should play into our strength.   Let's hope the guys come out fired up, and wreck havoc on Teague and company.

Hey, if someone told me last year that we would blow out and embarass Duke at MSG last year after losing to the Bonnies a few games beforehand, I would have had the same response as you realfan.  But on any given night, any team can be beat.  Is it likely here? No, but if our guys come out hot, maintain defensive intensity for 40 minutes and Kentucky is having a bad shooting night, we can win.

I actually watched the ODU game the refs gave that game to UK, ODU played with a lot of intensity & intelligence.Their coaching staff spotted a weakness which was UK is weak inside once Davis gets into foul trouble & they kept running set after set to exploit that. With all our first year D-1 players I don't think we have the mental stamina to do that.

Doron Lamb & Miller kill us from downtown Davis & Terrence Jones kill us downlow. Nuri shuts out Teague & Harrison shoots it out with Doron to keep it close

Attack basketball, pressure defense, 40 minutes of hell ... Early on it might be 30 minutes of hell, then 10 minutes of what the hell are you doing?"

We don't have the inside game, the depth, the shooting, the size, the skill, or the experience to play with Kentucky.  And while stranger things have happened, this is at Kentucky and the refs have already been bought.  We stay close for the first 60 seconds and then the party is over, right after Mo gets blown for his third foul. Gods Gift will be a non factor.

Hey, as I said before it is the season to be optimistic! And the Johnnies will overwhelm KU and cause them to make a lot of turnovers...This one is for Lav.

Geez the pessimism is borderline disgusting.  Some of you are acting like Dunlap killed your puppy at the Northeastern game.  Freshman are inconsistent...that shouldn't exactly be a revelation.  Any sound poster new we were going to look downright foolish at times this season, but that we'd look amazing at others.

I watched the UK Kansas game with a diehard Kentucky fan that used to coach Ty Edmondson in high school.  He was not thrilled with what he saw.  They are extremely talented but they are flawed.  They looked lost out there at times and the half court offense wasn't very good.  Anthony Davis tries to block everything around him and we have a roster of kids that are fearless at attacking the tin and drawing contact. That has to be the focus.

If this squad can make fts and open threes while protecting the ball, they can hang with anyone.  I'm not convinced that Davis is that much better than Harkless.

Maybe we lose by 30 but if you guys don't think Cal is preaching how dangerous and talented this Johnnies squad is...you are nuts.  There is nothing in basketball more dangerous than a team that can attack off the dribble.

Yep.  That'd be like losing to the Bonnies and Fordam, then turning around and DRUBBING Duke and UCONN.   And doing it with LESS talented players.   NEVER HAPPEN.
