I don't wish him any bad but after the comments he made and the comments his family and friends made online I can't say I wish him success.  It doesn't matter; without a major attitude change this guy isn't going anywhere.  I hope he changes it.

I hope the shooting % argument was a joke, because it is filled with holes the size of the Grand Canyon.  God's Gift is (or at least recently was) in the top 5 in the BE for shooting %.  Are you implying that Gift has one of the 5 best jump shots in the BE?  Of course he doesn't, and I imagine everyone would agree with that.  However, since most of his shots are bunnies from within 3 feet, obviously he makes more (pause to giggle about the two lay-ups he blew against marquette). Hell, Shaq shot over 50% for his career (don't know the exact number but I'm sure it's over 50%).  He can't even shoot a free throw.  Is he a great shooter?  To compare Nuri's shot to Harrison's and base it solely on % is ignorant.

As ugly as his shot seemed to be, I was/am still a Nuri fan, and think he could end up being a very good college player.  Apparently we weren't the best situation for him, but I wish him the best of luck at Arkansas.

Moving on...

Wow - you changed the terminology in mid stream.  Talk about SHOOTING, then suddenly you've liimited it to JUMP shooting.    Ball leaves a  guys hand, goes in 55% of the time, another guy puts it up, goes in 40% of the time.  Don't give a flying flock how PRETTY the 40% guy's "shot" is, I want the 55% guy taking the shot.   Unless it's outside the arc, in which case 40% is fine.

With Nuri-   4-5   (zero quality wins)

W/O Nuri  4-3  ( 2 BE wins)

When Nuri was here a few posters were questioning if we would win any BE games.  I think we are a much better team with out him, especially since he wasn't buying in.  He sulked during the Detroit and Kentucky games.  He mentally checked out.

Exclusively because he wasn't buying in and that's enough.  I wish him well.

Really 37% is = 55% unless you also count in my totally uniformed opinion that you get more offensive rebounds on missed 3pters than missed 10 fters in which case I'd think you could drop that down to 34-35%.

I didn't change any terminology.  Forgive me if I'm wrong - and like I said, maybe it was a joke - but i believe WASJU was implying that Nuri was a better "shooter" than Harrison based on the fact that he had a higher shooting percentage.  My argument was that shooting percentage is not what determines how good of a shooter someone is, because there are a number of variables involved.  I can make a lay-up 95% of the time, but I'm a horrible shooter (amongst many other basketball related skills).  So my point was, with as many lay-ups/dunks as Nuri made, I would expect his shooting % to be higher than that of someone who shoots more jump shots, but it does not make him a better "shooter."  I wasn't the one who tried to make a shooting % mean that Nuri had a better jump shot, so if that's what you interpreted from my post, then we simply have a misunderstanding.  I agree, I don't care what a shot looks like as long as it goes in (like Harrison, who seems to sometimes push the ball on his 3 point attempts).  The problem was, Nuri's jump shots never went in, thus, Harrison is the better "shooter," pretty much by default.

In 9 games Lindsey shot over 50% 4 times.
In 16 games Harrison has shot over 50% 5 times.
In 16 games Greene has shot over 50% 3 times.

Very misleading stats...show me how many jumpshots he made...He was an outstanding finisher, but no way you can spin his stats such that he looks like a better shooter than Harrison (who needs to improve his % as well)

Because he had no jump shot and SJU is a poor outside shooting team, it doesnt take a genious to figure out when defending SJU to clog up the paint. Harrison has been shooting better lately weather it is due to Nuris departure or the fact that he, is improving,or both, I do not know.

Complete nonsense CR and you should know better.

Who is a better shooter. Shaq or Ray Allen. Shaq career fg% over 55% and Ray Allen something like 45%. So who is a better shooter ?

Shaq.   Yes, Ray can put it in at 42% from Distance.  But Shaq can shoot it nearly 70% from inside.  Ray CAN'T.  He'd be lucky to "shoot"  42% from inside where Shaq shot from.

Shooting is the ball leaving your hand headed for the basket.  Shaq did it much better.  Ray's shot is pretty, but If one guy is shooting 45% and the other 55%, who do YOU want SHOOTING the majority of the shots????

I don't remember reading anywhere about Nuri being the conductor of a train on a skank, holding up a liquor store or beating up a swimmer.

Who held up a liquor store?
