First off I wanna start by saying I apologize to the fans and supporting cast of St. Johns. I can understand the frustration, and I will accept the criticism from you guys because of my decision. Just want all of you to know that this was an extremely hard decision to make. But ultimately I felt as though this decision was best for me and my fami8ly. I love St. Johns!! And I will continue to support Redstorm Nation and family. Once again, I am sincerely sorry if you guys feel like I let you down, Ill always love and support St. Johns.

Maybe Nuri's problem is with his grades.

Well, he seems incredibly stupid, so maybe.

Seriously, the dude comes out of this look like a baby. Even more so from the fact that at best he'll be a 2nd round pick.

A 2nd round pick? Lindsay has about as much of a chance of making the NBA as Eugene Lawrence.

From the 9 games, especially the last few, he'll be playing in Europe.  Without improvement he's not an NBA player.

He is in no way a lock to play anywhere is Europe. He is the worst shooting point guard I've ever seen. He's worse than Cedric Jackson.

This is the epitome of selfishness.  Let's move on with the kids that want to be here, even if there are only 6 of them.

"I came to St. Johns for a couple of reasons. One was to be close to my mom, whose health has been up and down due to some past experiences. The second was to play for Coach Lav. In both instances it has not worked out how I envisioned. I think Coach Lav is an amazing coach, and person. He could have taught me so much," said Lindsey. "I love St. John's and appreciate all the love and support from the staff and school. I think this team will be special. I think what I'll miss most about St. John's is miss my teammates. Those guys are like my brothers. So I will continue to support St. John's and my brothers. Thank you for the memories, regardless of how brief."

Yeah, okay. Playing the mom's health thing for sympathy. PR 101  ::)

I'd gauge 99.9% on him having a fundamental disagreement with Dunlap, and not wanting to play a team game or put any effort forth on defense. So he quits? How dare he call these kids "his brothers" when we're going to wind up winning like 1 conference game now.

Decision for nba makes no sense.  A big mistake on his part.  Maybe he can play professionally somewhere else but he made 3 jumpshots this year.  Ill say that again 3, and showed he clearly couldnt get to the rim against Kentucky, who has NBA size.  Dont even get me started on the turnovers.  The film, although in a small sample size, does not look anything close to NBA material.

Leaving a team environment that practices and plays against top competiton vs. training on your own does not make much sense.  There had to be some other factors like clashing with Dunlap which was mentioned.

It's unfortunate and def hurts the team this year and beyond.

from his twitter

I am looking forward to moving on to another school. Will not be taking any steps towards any professional move. I like school, and feel as though I still have so much more to learn and much more room for improvement. So once again, sincerely apologize. I'll be moving on to another program. Thanks for the support! Go Johnnies!!!
