Not very familiar with Depaul's normal style of play, but they played right into our hands last night.  The up and down pace of the game is what our kids thrive on.  In the second half i had my doubts that our kids could keep up the pace, but i was proved wrong.

These kids are in tremendous shape. Logging 35 minutes a night is no easy task for anybody, night in and night out.  The fact they are doing it in the big east..and are freshman...is nothing short of incredible.  The staff should be commended for the job they have done in this regard.

Statistically both teams shot well, Ironically Mo was the only one who shot poorly today. everybody else had great shooting %(Im not counting Stith who I dont think took a shot]The FT% may have been the difference in the game.

He has 44 treys thus far with 10 1/2 games left and possibly more in the Big East Tournament.  The STJ single-season record is 72 treys.  I think Harrison can claim that if we win a game in the tournament.

I forget.  Who currently holds the record for threes?

Did he tie the St. Johns record for most 3s in a game last night? I know they mentioned that he was 1 away at one point.

No, he came up 1 shy of the record of 8 threes in a game held by the great Avery Patterson.

And last nights win means that we and DePaul are now tied in the series at 14-14.  Surprising that the major Catholic schools in the 2 largest cities both run by Vincensians have not played more.  Does anyone know why when we have played Niagara a huge number of times?

When I checked on the game last night via my Droid, I saw half time stats listing Branch as playing for us in the first half.  I thought I missed the news, but it was later corrected to MS's  name. Shucks!

Slick Willie holds career record but I'm pretty sure, as Carmine never forgets to remind us, that Avery P is the single season made three team record holder and that makes him the greatest shooter in STJ history.

Actually looks like Avery had 72 and Willie 71 so yeah.

Kelly didn't play.

Yeah any reason as to why.  Thought they benched him since nothing was mentioned.

I think I read he was hurt. They were a point guard away from winning.

Kelly was a late scratch due to a "muscular" injury.  According to Wearedepaul.com, the team's physical trainer thought Kelly's injury wasn't so serious that he could play, but Kelly reportedly told the coach shortly before the game he couldn't go.

Patterson had 8 threes vs Navy. He should have gone pro after that.
