Forgot to mention that Carrington is playing well.  Mike williams just stole the ball and went baseline for a vicious dunk.  This kid is a high major player. The staff would be foolish not to recruit him. Kid is everywhere today .

You 'forgot' to mention Carrington was playing well as you replied to a CARRINGTON thread :)

Yea my bad.  One thing I can say I do like about Carrington is his motor.  Kid plays hard.  Rawle Alkins the freshmen just made a pass that was unreal. Kid is Lance Stephenson talented.

Meant right, sorry.

We can't recruit Carrington.  He is 15-17 from the line in this game :)

But does he shoot better than 30% from 3pt range?

Second half showed his limitations as he was completely bottled up .

Tired a bit. Rawle Alkins of CTK is the next big star in the area IMO. I have only seen him twice, but holy smokes!

6'4 kid who looks like a developing strong off guard IMO.

Not creating conspiracy theory or complaining, but wonder why Lavin was not at Wed. or Sunday playoff games to see Carrington. Staff did not venture to see Jordan in Philly Friday to my knowledge either. Hopefully SL is working under radar on options, as limited as the # of recruiting slots we have.

Has D. Martin ever been on the road to see a recruit?  You'd think people would be impressed to see an NBA veteran tracking a kid, but not sure we've taken advantage of that (or even want to). Our recruiting efforts, though obviously bearing fruit, are odd to me to say the least. Seems like Chiles is the only assistant that ever goes on the road and our head coach barely makes it out (maybe that's consistent with his peers though).

Excellent point. I saw Rico at several games, never Martin. I too feel his NBA time is an asset to market, so to speak, in recruiting. I can also understand the HC can't be everywhere, but IMO he should be at local semis and finals to further cultivate relationships. Close to his home also!

Guys i wouldn't be so sure that no one was there to see Jordan Friday. I heard differently.

You are right. I heard Lav and staff were going, but could not confirm. I guess I should assume the best.

I don't know enough about the logistics related to recruiting to have an opinion on whether we do things differently than other teams (i.e., Chiles is the main guy who is always on the road, Lavin not as much during the year at least, Martin's apparent lack of involvement, etc).  Would be curious what others thought who know more about this stuff.
