Most Valuable Player: DJ Kennedy He has been huge for us this season stepping into the starting lineup when really no one expected him to and he has done a great job all season long of getting it done. If we didn't have DJ when Mase went down how rough of shape would this team have been in? He is also our best rebounder grabbing the most rebounds per minute and is our 2nd leading scorer.

Most Improved Player: Paris Horne Over his first few games he had a lot of TO's and looked so ugly shooting the rock. Over his last 9 games he is shooting 70% from 3 point range and has been a great finisher on the break. The more time he gets the more and more comfortable he is looking out there. The defense was always there but now it looks like his offense is coming around now too. Evans still can't shoot the ball other than a layup and is still too lackadaisical on defense otherwise he would get this award.

Most Frustrating Player: Justin Burrell He has been a roller coaster this season and he has shown flashes and glimpses of the player he can be but often times he falls short of our high expectations for him. He looks so uncomfortable making moves in the post as well as dribbling the ball but hopefully this will improve. What is really upsetting is his lack of rebounding production. He has failed to grab double digit boards since the Depaul game(bad omen). He is a bit bambi esque sometimes meaning he doesn't have control of his body like he doesn't know his own power. I think he still has some growing up to do.

Favorite Player: Larry Wright I like Larry for his ability to score the basketball and his silky smooth shooting touch. I love when he goes into the lane for a midrange shot or when he strokes it from the outside. Being a SG myself probably influences this a bit too

Player with Most Hustle: Mike Cavataio Considering that 8 of his 18 rebounds are offensive speaks volume for a guy who is only 6'4. He is always the only guy who dives on the floor for balls too. He makes the most of his limited minutes. If we could put his heart into everyone's bodies we'd be in the tourney.

Most Clutch Player: Larry Wright Larry is constantly the guy who hits the big shot. Against Niagara he was nailing 3's at the end to try and bring us back, PC he was nailing jumper after jumper, Seton Hall he nailed the shot before Mase.

Best Defender: Malik Boothe Constantly in other guy's gym shorts (no homo)

Best Dunk of the Year: Mason Jr against Duke For maybe a minute he made Duke fans crap their pants everywhere

Best Shot of the Year: Geno's shot clock expiring 3 against PC I know many of you would think Mason's three but Geno's 3 with the shot clock expiring was crucial against PC which was a huge toss up game.

Best Spark off the Bench: Paris Horne This was really tough to decide between Larry or Paris but sometimes Larry is just ice cold while Paris is always Paris. He plays defense as well as offense and he brings a bunch of energy

Player you look forward to seeing the most next season: Justin Burrell I want to see him develop because if/when he does he could be such a force.

Most clutch player is Mason,  not even close

I'd give the edge to Wright this season considering Mason has missed most of the season. How many games has Mason made clutch shots besides SHU? Do we really consider those two 29 point games clutch or just hot shooting nights?

Most Valuable Player:  Justin Burrell (We may have pulled an NJIT w/o him; not literally, but damn close)
Most Improved Player:  Sean Evans (perhaps he can play some minutes at this level)
Most Frustrating Player:  DJ Kennedy (unbelievable first few games against the NEC; enigmatic the rest of the year)
Favorite Player:  Malik Boothe (Mr. Hussle - Once he cuts down on the TO's, he'll be a legit BE Point Guard -- would love to see him develop the J)
Player with Most Hustle:  Mike Cav/Malik Boothe
Most Clutch Player:  Mase
Best Defender:  Paris Horne/Malik Boothe
Best Dunk of the Year:  Evans at Duke
Best Shot of the Year:  TJ's 3 against Marist - Where the hell did that come from?
Best Spark off the Bench:  Larry Wright (he ought to be starting)
Player you look forward to seeing the most next season:  A healthy Rob Thomas

Most Valuable Player:Justin - He's the man.  Once he brings his lunch pail every game he'll be scary
Most Improved Player: Sean Evans - big improvement after those first few games
Most Frustrating Player:  Justin - Needs to be intense for 40 minutes and forget about the refs.
Favorite Player: Larry Wright - so smooth offensively
Player with Most Hustle: Malik - never stops until the buzzer sounds
Most Clutch Player:  Mason - see Seton Hall game
Best Defender: DJ kennedy-  I definitely thinks his defensive abilities are overlooked
Best Dunk of the Year:  Mason - several
Best Shot of the Year: Mason - see Seton Hall game
Best Spark off the Bench: Paris Horne - love his high energy
Player you look forward to seeing the most next season:  Rob Thomas

Most Valuable Player: burrell...no knock on mason jr, but we won games when mase was hurt...we might have won single digits without burrell

Most Improved Player: evans.  posters were calling him a waste of a ship at the beginning of the season.  by year four, he'll probably be a 6'10 force.

Most Frustrating Player: too many to name...but lawrence made his parents proud, you can't do more than that.

Favorite Player:  none at this point.

Player with Most Hustle: cavataio

Most Clutch Player:  had no true "go to" player.

Best Defender:   norm roberts, held us to around 50 ppg...we new lows in the low 40's in some games.

Best Shot of the Year: lawrence clutch against providence

Best Spark off the Bench: wright...too bad he was relegated to that role.

Player you look forward to seeing the most next season: tyreke evans.  he's available, may be the best high school point guard in the country.  if norm put some effort into this five star player, we'd win 20 next year.

Attack basketball, pressure defense, 40 minutes of hell ... Early on it might be 30 minutes of hell, then 10 minutes of what the hell are you doing?"
