Moe's a prototype small forward on the collegiate level.

Ideally, he'd have hisself two other bigs out there wit him like Malik had wit Rob and Jayson, or Rob and Billy, or Rob and Shawnelle.

Agreed 100%.  I love Mo.  But DLo is an assassin.  I think DLo's attitude may have not helped him.

That and the fact thatg Harkless is a better player. It is realy not close. Again Harrison might be the 2nd best frosh, but you could put Harkless on any front court in the BE and he would put up similar stats. Harrison does not start on every BE team.

Perhaps not because he's a freshman. But, he is good enough to start on any BE team, and would get major minutes on any BE team.

  I feel confident that he won't leave.  He may throw his name out there to gauge interest but he won't sign with an agent.  He'll be back next season, so will Lavin, and so will this program.

IMHO, he comes back. Nate Blue, not the end all, but
 part of Moe's circle has so indicated over past few weeks. I could be wrong, but his getting the award and playing well today won't tilt the scales in either direction. If he is not dead set on leaving, Lavin getting some pieces around Moe becomes essential. Getting some rebounding help and allowing him to showcase wing skills could be a factor in staying. Then again, what do I know.

First of all congrats Moe. You will forever be one of my favorite players for coming to St. John's and starting the re-legitimacy of St. John's (hopefully) weather you stay or not.

Back on what I quoted lol: Thats what makes it really tough. You know kids always hear "Oh scouts love you, you're for sure a 1st round pick" around this time. These kids always hear stuff like this early on and I could see him entering the draft because of it. In the old process, he'd have time to ponder and get down to the truth. Its much easier to lose kids imo this way, at least since its unprecedented.

If he does come back we need to get big bodies. He deserves to play what he came here to play - the SF position. Thats where he'll make the money in the NBA and I think he can be an even better player for us there. He is a very good rebounder for his size and has a great intermediate game and at his developmental stage, he is on his way to becoming very good. Lets hope we can sorround him with a couple of more shooters and a couple of more big men to open up his game to realize more of his potential.

Definitely think its likely. You see these big PFs like Sheldon Williams who dont have a position in the league and bomb out. Harkless can at the very worst be what Travis Outlaw was early in his Blazers career.

Scouts told Ron Ron he'd be lottery after his Sophomore year and he dropped to 16.

I agree. This is a good draft class also. I think it'd be smart for him to stay for a year and enter next year also, but Im not sure about top 5. Top 10 is more likely.

Although it would be great to give him some help inside next year, all of the banging down low, working on his face-up/post up game, rebounding in traffic, defending bigger players, etc, will all help his overall development towards the NBA.  No different than how certain wings in the NBA seek to develop their games down-low or facing up, or how big men try and develop their step out game.  In that regard, this year most certainly helped Moe develop certain options in his tool box.
