I'm shocked she lasted this long.  She's a great coach and she really built a strong program here.

Heard this morning from a tutor on the team that the girls did not take this news very well. The term "feeling of abandonment" was used.

It came out of nowhere, this is going to be an important hire to make sure we get it right. At least one of the recruits wants out.

You would have to think Jennifer Rizzotti at Hartford is high on the list for any Big East school looking tio make a hire.

Hope they're not feeling that KBA abandonned them . That's not fair. How could she turn down that job after
10 years of toiling in virtual obscurity. They'd better get the new hire right. And pay the woman ! KBA should've been a lifer. The school should be ashamed of itself for losing her. Shades of "Normanizing" the woman's program.

I think she'd be a good choice.

And Geno's not going anywhere anytime soon, so we wouldn't have to worry about losing her to a dream job.

Not a big fan of this move. St Johns on brink of being in that category of a constant tourney team and don't like going with unproven assistant.

Respectfully disagree.  There are maybe 15 coaches in the country that are elite in women's hoops.  STJ was never coming close to paying someone in that category.  KBA was paid well here.  She went for more, nothing wrong with that.  This hire keeps current team and momentum going forward which is key.

That is what others have said and from looking at twitter for the 3 recruits they seem happy. I hear Torts is very instrumental in the 2013 class.
