He's moved up to that deluxe apartment in the sky.

Not nearly as hilarious as thinking Ledo will be eligible, but it really wasn't that bad.

I actually think Sherman himself would have liked that joke.

http://www.foxnews.com/sports/2012/08/02/back-to-school-for-mike-dantoni/

D'Antoni interested in coaching in college ranks.  Currently, his son is a senior at a high school in Westchester County, so presumably he'd prefer to be in the area for another year.

What would we think of the hypothetical of Coach D'Antoni filling Dunlap's spot before trying head coaching gig next year?

Personally, with all of the interchangeable deep parts we have, I think D'Antoni's offense would work fairly successfully, and although I do not prefer 7 seconds or less...it would be refreshing not to worry about 35 seconds or more for once!

Saw this last week and forgot to post it.  I'd love him as an asst coach.  I think this is the article that talks about ASU might be a place for him when Sednek gets fired because he sucks.

In a heartbeat I'd take him as an asst.  I think he'd be a good coach at both the asst or head coach level at a college.

Agreed Moose.  If Lavin has the right "long term" hire, I think he'd favor that, but nabbing D'Antoni for a year and using the next year to find the next associate head coach would be great all around, I think.

I think D'Antoni would be a great college coach --- not having to deal with meddling owners or crybaby superstars who don't always try would change a lot for him I think...

Would coaching at MSG be a problem for him? Or maybe he would enjoy that. I never liked him as the knicks coach, actually I hated him, but as a college assistant to lavin, they could recruit their asses off. Who doesnt love getting up and down the court and scoring the ball?

Would be a good hire but no way it happens.
