What's wrong with Phil Greene?  Didn't participate other than intro?
They said he has a sore hip.

+1.  How guys like Jones and Balamou were totally overlooked I have no idea.  We had two teams out there, both full of talent.  Didn't even have Phil Greene and I barely noticed because of our talent.  All newcomers were impressive.  Bourgault's stroke is money.  Obekpa even smoother than i realized.  How many PF's can handle Sanchez' athleticism and skill set?  Going to be a heck of a year when we start to jell.  Don't forget, these kids haven't even really practiced yet.

In other news, Syracuse's midnight madness was not nearly as successful as a big fight broke out and there was a stabbing in the stands.  True story.

while i knew what to expect from guys like JKS, Sanchez, and to some extent Obekpa, which by the way, all surpassed my expectations with freakish athleticsm.  Felix was always a huge question mark. I gotta tell you, this kid will push for minutes.   He's a freak athlete, had good control with his dribbling, and showed a nice touch during the shooting contest.

i like him. A LOT!

Obekpa will be a defensive force. Kid can and will block shooters.

team is ultra athletic and deep. looks ten deep. bench and starters could play best of 7 and it would be 4-3
Attack basketball, pressure defense, 40 minutes of hell ... Early on it might be 30 minutes of hell, then 10 minutes of what the hell are you doing?"

Watched it online and agree with what most people are saying.   Guys looked good, Jones and sanchez surprised me the most.

Im pumped for the season, but I continually had to remind myself how little you can put into a early season scrimage.   Just for comparison I looked at the thread following the game against Post last year, tell me if any of this sounds familiar: " Gods Gift has tremendous hands", "Phil Greene is really impressiv"  "Greene has nba talent"   "Harrison shoots a line drive and isn't the shooter he was advertised as"   " stith's  leadership is a huge asset for this team, he'll be a big contributor".

So while it was very encouraging seeing so much talent on our floor tonight... Im going to remain cautious.   Lavs gotta coach this talent up now...

Attendance looked impressive on tv... but I wasn't there.  Looked to be about what we get for an exhibition game, maybe more.

Chileb, I think its been out there that his wrist never really healed from over the summer.  Forget exactly what was wrong but he hurt it back june or July.

Despite all of the top talent we had on the roster last year, I predicted 13 wins.  I did so because I know the value of experience.  I think we all need to slow down with the newbies a bit.  I expect Polee-like contributions from Sampson (much better on the glass though) and a little less from Obekpa.

I am predicting 23 this year mostly because of the returnees (Branch, Harrison, Greene, Pointer, Garrett and even GG).  Lavin also filled three of our biggest holes:  shooting, depth, and size. Out of the new guys, I think Sanchez will be the one that really raises this team up the most.  He's not a rockstar, but he is just what this team needed down low.

I know that but now I'm thinking the injury might have been a bit worse than has been reported. Only because I've saw him about 3 weeks ago and he had nothing on the hand. Possibly a minor procedure that hasn't been publicized? Hopefully if it is its nothing serious.

Paultzman said a few weeks ago that he was headed to see a hand specialist, so you could be right.  Maybe he had a small procedure, like you say lets hope for his sake its nothing serious.
