There are like 20 freshmen on there that never played a college game yet.  D'Lo averaged 18ppg in the Big East and not a mention.  Embarrassing...

We've seen what can happen at SJ when the media is all over us. Let DLo and co fly under the radar and earn praise when they get out there and play.

I'll take D'Angelo over 80% of the players on that list

Deangelo is the type of competitor that will use things like this as motivation.

Who cares?  Not worth getting angry about.  I'd rather be slighted that heaped with praise at this point.   Motivation.

This list is an insult to dangelo. These college hoops "experts" routinely disrespect us. When we land yet another top 100 recruit, it's a surprise to these jerks. Under the radar is fine but a little respect is in order for what lavin has put together. When is the last time you read something about st johns and thought that it might be an exaggeration to the upside?

We won 13 games last year.  Respect is earned, not handed out because of hype or a few positive tweets from coach.   The accolades will arrive as soon as the wins do.

Did Harrison make any of the pre-season all BE teams? Those might get a look when guys who have not seen players on the court make these worthless lists. They gotta find something to go on.

CBS ranked Willie Shaw and Mo Diakite in the top 100, maybe even the top 50 in the nation.

Bad back + non-coaching = Diakite never had a chance.

Diakite was injury prone. That's true, but he also had awful instincts.

for the team's pre-season ranking, i agree.

what did dangelo have to do last year to be worthy of consideration, in your opinion?  he was arguably the best freshmen in the big east (you could argue he had a better year than moe did) last year and one of the 10-12 best freshmen in the country.  it's not like he came out of nowhere - the guy was a consensus top 75 recruit and known by all of the cbs voters.  yet somehow anthony collins, who can't make a basket beyond 8 feet, gets more respect.  what about ben mclemore - guy is rated higher on this list than he was as an incoming freshmen recruit two years ago and he has not played a minute of college basketball.  if hes on there, where is jakarr sampson? same story, higher ranked recruit.

i think i just talked myself out of caring about this anymore.  big year for dlo ahead.

He was raw for sure but was great a athlete before the injuries. He could have been a great player for us under different circumstances.
