And the best part is you can sing the words Billy Joel "We didn't start the fire" style
his girlfriend used to work in my office until about 2 months ago

I just remember when we played I think it was DePaul.  Orvis took a 3 and their big center blocked it with his elbow.  Man
that was ugly.

Hunter I think. Chudney was a stud in that game. We have EB, we win that one going away.

Yes, I think it was Hunter.  Forgot his name.

Heath orvis from Colorado -

My daughter's hitting coach for softball is married to a former baseball player who grew up with Heath Orvis and went to High School with him in Colorado,. Talked about Orvis recently and I asked him how Orvis ended up at St Johns. He said Jarvis saw him one time and he committed basically on the spot because all his other offers were from very small schools.

That Jarvis worked so hard at recruiting! At alienating people. Just ask Jason Frasier!

Wasn't the story he offered Abe off of just a video tape?

That was Curtis Johnson. Keita was actually a top 100 kid I believe.

Don't think Abe was Top 100.  Mo was like Top 50.  I thought I heard some story about Abe and his uncle and video tape.  Most likely Curtis too to be honest.

Off topic, but I once sat with Jarvis and mutual acquaintance at AAU event in NJ. Kenny Satterfield was playing and ripping it up. I casually asked MJ if he liked his game and he indifferently shrugged. Guess Cincy and NBA knew better.

I met Jarvis at a dinner the evening before the UCLA game in 2003 or 2004, I wanted to talk to him about basketball, he shrugged me off and talked to my wife flirting with her for like 15 minutes lol

It was Cujo. Jarvis said he simply offered him a scholarship because "he was the biggest man I'd ever seen." Some policy. Mo was almost a McDonald's all American and keita was top 100 (winchendon prep?)

Side not Ive ran into Curtis more than a few times since he left and he is one of the friendliest, intelligent and most engaging people I've ever met. Really a great guy, same with Mo.

I'm always checking this thread for an update on Sanchez.  Nothing seems forthcoming.  Is it normal for the NCAA to take so long to clear someone?

He showed for that dinner!! Kids played good that game, and then came the Pitt thing. I don't believe the kids won another game until beating Georgetown. Nice win for the walk ons or we go zero for the BE.

He was there with his wife and son. Father Harrington, Coach C, and Mullin was there as well. That was my first time meeting Mullin and spoke to him a long time, I was so in awe.

It's really terrible what they are doing to sanchez and a number of other kids around the country.  The problem is there is no recourse. Lawsuits would to nowhere since they have endless resources

The announcers tonight said Sanchez was the best player in the pickup games. Earl Watson said he could play for the jazz right now
