Lavin wants to play 8 games a year at MSG for recruiting purposes.  You can't promote the Garden if you only play there a few times.

It will be interesting to see how the fan support is if we continue to win.  The UCONN game should draw more interest and hopefully the Marquette game turns into a crowd like Pittsburgh a few years back.

Show up and support the team at the game---now there is a novel thought to many on this board!

I would hope we could get 8,000 for Sunday and at least over 10,000 for the rest of the home games if continue to win.

Were all the crowds good at MSG after we went on our hot streak in 2010?

Yes, after Rutgers game which was right after the Duke game we sold out all the CA games and got at least 13k each for the remaining MSG games.

Reminder on that 2010 team.   After 19 games, we were 11-8 and coming off a 3 game LOSING streak for the 20th game...DUKE.   This year, we're 12-7, coming off a 3 game WINNING streak for the 20th game.....Seton Hall!

I know it's extremely unlikely we go on a run like 2010, but it does feel sort of similar.

Fordham, RU, Gtown, ND, SH, Pitt, Uconn & Marq are 8 games. But I agree, going to Queens interests so few people. Although, I rather enjoy it.

Also - I hope the guys from last year rememeber the embarrassing loss that SHU handed us last year the Rock.

What he said.

From this conference call quote by Lavin it appears SJU's lack of recent success against SHU has not been lost on SJU.

Don't care what the number is as long as it's 80/20. Anything above 8K we have to make sure it's all us.
