As Much as I want us to beat them, This is a big game for the future C7.  It is a "network" game on CBS.  First and foremost, I hope for a great intense game, even going to OT; a buzzer beater win with both teams leaving it all on the court. (and hopefully it is us on top)  Got to show that the C& can provide great games.

This is a good point about today's game.  I am not sure CBS is going to play this angle though.  And isn't FOX going to grab the league. I guess the FOX executives will be looking at the ratings so a good game may bring in good numbers for the finish.

Georgetown and St John's have nice history.  The BE will always include the Ewing vs Mullin teams in the top three stories whenever anyone looks back long after the league is dead.  With the new C7 the two teams will hopefully renew this rivalry and make it one of the best in hoops.

St. John's is the team the Hoyas have played most in our history. This being the 99th meeting. Hopefully this rivalry can be a cornerstone the league can build on the way the Georgetown v. Syracuse rivalry helped build the fledgling BE.

Well the game isn't on in Virginia, so I don't know how much playing up they can do for a game that isn't televised nationally.

Slightly off topic, there was supposed to be a gamewatch at a place in Garden City called Mother's House. However, I heard something today that it was cancelled. Can anyone confirm this? If so, anybody know why?

Yes, I got an e-mail that it was cancelled. Didn't say why though.

I'm sure it's due to poor response/lack of interest.

A win here would be huge.  Five game win streak, but mostly against weaker competition.  You can only beat who they put in front of you and I know it's obviously better than losing to weaker competition, but the fact still stands.  They got routed by Georgetown last time and this time they're on the road, and they just came off barely beating DePaul.  Prove they can hang with the big boys and win today and they'll get some votes for top 25 I think even with the really bad early losses.

Which Provider (and where are you ) in Virginia?   Yes, a lot of Virginia's regional CBS outlets have that crappy "ACC contract" which meas we see a Duke or (as today) North Carolina game instead of the National broadcast.  Always wonderful - games you don't want to see with 4th string regional announcers!

But most of the cable providers (if you have a sports package) will have an alternative CBS station somewhere in the lineu.  The SJU/G'Town is on Directv channel 738 here in Blacksurg. (or so I'm hoping - there's always web stream, but regular TV is far preferable).

A good amount of alumni that I know said that they were going to attend. Therefore,  I don't think that was the reason. I may drive over to that place to watch the game. I heard it's a nice sports bar.

Each place for the game watch got less than 10 responses.

Anyone care to still doubt the great fans we have.

It's a road game. Watch it on tv in your living room. I delete every Gamewatch email I get. I can't imagine anything dumber.

Moose, are you sure about that? Maybe they got less than 10 RSVPs. However, I know  more than 10 people who said they were going.

It's not that dumb of an idea. Not much different than getting together with some buddies to go out and watch a game.

I was trying to go down to the Gtown game so I didn't officially respond

Well they need RSVP's.  Otherwise why put on an event with a low number.  That's the issue.  Lot of people might have wanted to go but if you don't say your going nobody knows.

If you go to games with people why not watch a road game with people.
