Prices raised to 80 dollars for mid court 100 level seats. They were 65 the last 2 years.

I haven't been to a St Johns game at the Garden in years but your post just floored me. I guess I have been spoiled seeing St. Johns on the road at
Kentucky about $50 for average seats
Detroit pretty good seats on campus for $20
$20 a session at Charleston
$20 in San Fran I guess for general admission
I don't think I even paid more than $35 a seat at UCLA

Our pricing is a joke.  You should see the look on people's faces I bring to games when they see the face value.  The ongoing joke is will we score more than the price of the ticket.

Is it because MSG squeezes so much out the school?  Or is it because the school is just doing some math on maximizing revenues and fannies in the seats?  Or both?

Maybe attendance would be nearly the same regardless if the tickets are $40 or $80 each...

I didn't notice this.   Season ticket holders don't have to do a thing now, we'll find out more later this summer if we want tickets to the NCAA at msg next year.

***Deposits apply for NEW season ticket accounts only. Current account holders do not need to place a deposit and will receive renewal information by mail this summer.***

As a season ticket holder I called the ST J's ticket office to inquire about what a season ticket holder needs to do to be eligible to buy ncaa t tickets at msg and was asked if I can be put on hold as the employee did not know but would try to find out. He ended up asking for my e-mail address and said an e-mail would be sent out with more info. TYPICAL! I remember some years ago when I would call on a game day and the answer would be "Oh, there is a basketball game tonight?". Only at St. John's, only at St. John's!  :(

Season ticket holder as many know and I received PreSale email for NCAA on the 17th.  But I don't think one is related to the other.  I think I was on some other list they had or something.

So what are the non conference games for next season that we know of?

Barclays tournament (Ole Miss, Georgia Tech, Penn State)
Syracuse at MSG
San Francisco at Carnesecca

And Ted mentioned an as yet unknown stop in Northern California.

Anything else?

Any shot we start up the Duke of UCLA series again. I know one of them was put on hold and sounded like it would start up again.

Max's dad told my wife that the team is travelling to No Cal next year and USF is coming to Queens. She told me after the fact otherwise I would have asked him who we were playing. Doubt it would St Mary's again as it would be another home game at their place. Maybe we hit Santa Clara if it isn't Cal or Stanford.

I know Lavs is from the Bay Area and likes to trip back there and these west coast swings are a great opportunity for team-building BUT...we are 0-2 against these lesser division teams (St Mary's and USF) since lavs took over and these are really hard road games to win.  If we are as good as we expect this upcoming season a loss out west early in the season can be considered a "bad loss" and affect RPI and ultimately NCAA seeding.  Not sure I love the idea.

I like playing a game or two out west, because it gives the guys a taste of what their schedule would be like if they had to travel for an NCAA game.

Otherwise we could get sent for a first round game 3 time zones away and it might throw the kids for a loop.   Let them get some experience with that.

The RPI handsomely rewards road wins...especially against decent teams.

I agree. I think it will be Santa Clara if it's a non-football conference team out here. I haven't looked at their roster, but they may be decent if they return everyone.

I guess a Fresno St. game over Thanksgiving is too much to ask for as well, huh? It's 45 minutes from my in-laws. ;D
