Our issue isn't our coaching, it's that we simply can't shoot.  If we could shoot a lick we'd be fine in this one.

Shooting would help, but not our only problem. Team doesn't move the ball.

We move the ball.  We just have nobody at the end of our passing sequences to shoot which is why we struggle for any good looks.

No , we don't.   Do we shoot well? Of course not. But we don't move the ball well at all.   That's obvious.    We have a 5 second delay after every pass., where our guys stop and 'think'.   That gives defenses a chance to recover.
How can you ever get a defense out of position if you don't pass quickly

With that said, we can get back in this game if we don't turn it over in the 2nd half like we have been.

The 5 second delay you mentioned isn't even an exaggeration lol.

A defense like this that packs it in is rarely going to get caught off guard, even if we passed the ball at 100mph.  Kids still need to make plays.  We started the game passing and moving the ball real well.  It was mostly for naught against their packed-in D.    We can still claw back, but these refs are hosing us tremendously here.  Not sure we can keep UVA off the line long enough.  I'm expecting more phantom fouls and more clanks on our end on offense.

Agree 100% that kids need to make plays. They also need to make the defense work by passing with urgency and purpose IMO.
*wipes ketchup from his eyes* - I guess Heinz sight isn’t 20/20.

Finally get to go to a game and it is a horror show.  Refs are calling it really tight.  If this is gonna be a half-court showdown, we have no chance.

You honestly think we move the ball well? I've never seen a team pass the ball around more nonchalantly than we do.

Our passing isn't our problem in the least.  Our problem is nobody to score.  We get the ball where it needs to be.  Usually our guy has to bail himself out and do something drastic because we lack shooters/scorers.  Today we are really turning the ball over.  Something we don't normally do.  Our offense is bad because our offensive players are bad.  It's as simple as that.

And how will that improve next season?

3 things.  D'Lo, Sanchez, Rysheed...

Agree on Sanchez, not getting Jordan IMO and D'Lo iffy. Severe just went for 68 in last two games, but I guess we have alternatives in mind. Hopefully.

I don't know about Jordan, but we certainly need more help in the backcourt mostly.  Ours can't score at all. D'Lo is imperative.  We aren't going to get better without him on board.  Jakarr is great but cant do this by humself.  Rysheed more important than ever.  We certainly might lose him, but he's a gamer and we need more of those. I don't know what the contingency is.  We need more scorers.

If calling it "tight" means only whistling SJU, then yes I agree...

Noticed people talking about home cooking. Does anyone know if a stat has been created to measure the disparity between how many FT's teams get at home vs. away? I would expect schools like UVA and Nova to be among the high end in terms of disparities.

As director of BBall operations, is it Mo Hick's responsibility to get Air France tickets for Marco?

Hey, it' progress! At this point, close 3 pointers make me feel good. That's what happens when you shoot around 13% from 3 most games without DLo.
