The kid hustled for us. Give him props for that. I wish him luck in his future endeavors.  And hopefully it's earning millions striking out lefties in MLB.

It was a well thought out decision that didn't just pop up out of nowhere. St. John's will always have a special place in my heart.

Kind of surprised

This is the right move for his future no doubt.  He didn't have the NBA in his future so it makes sense to fully commit to baseball.  Best of luck to Amir, he was a warrior and he stayed with the program when noone expected him to.

he's been hinting at it on twitter last few days. so not surprised.

Lav had to tell him he could not count on being in rotation next year. Kid had other options which Lav would not want him to miss out on.
