Fox Sports 1

No one is better for us than Raftery. I stand losing Pitt, Uconn and SU, but he is as much a part of the BE than anyone. Does anyone know if this Fox Sports 1 channel comes with a typical Cablevision package or must it be ordered separately?

It's included where I am with Charter Cable.

From what I read it should come with most packages.

How was the media day coverage on FS1? I am assuming there was something. Would love to catch a replay

I have a package 1 up from basic. It used to be called Family Package ( not sure what they call it now.) it includes 1 upgrade to get HBO. I do get Fox Sports1.

It appears that I don't get FS2 with my package.  Luckily we only have 1 game on FS2, but there are UFC fights on today which I am now forced to watch them on Fox Deportes.  I hate cable companies.

Maybe you have too small of a package.

No FS2 out here on comcast in Seattle either. When they announced the addition of FS1 back in August, they said FS2 would be part of the package as well, but it hasn't been added yet. LAME.

Also -  didn't Fox say they would be putting out an app as well as online streaming similar to WatchESPN. Anyone have any info on that?

I have Fox Sports 2 but Dish tells me I need to pay another $5 a month to get Fox Sports 1.

That doesn't make a lot of sense.  If it was 2 I'd get it. 

I'd like to give kudos to Tarik Turner.  The guy has really become a mainstay analyst for Fox now.  He has really developed a nice career in sportscasting, and if you look at commentary on other fan boards, they all really like Tarik.  Tarik is on SJU's board of Governor's now as well and a good example for our other student athletes.  Hope to see more former SJU players out there in sports media etc.

Do you not?  Thought he was very knowledgeable during the tip off broadcast. He knows the rosters as well as any tv analyst covering the big east.

Agreed.  In a studio setting things come to him easier it seems.
