Rasheed is a special player. Defensively and offensively.

We're not getting to the basket (well other than Rysheed) and we're not guarding the three well. We are making threes more though. Jakarr is 1-2 from there. 19-19 game right now.

This is awful. No defense is being played at all. I can barely watch.

Without Pointer's defense, we're down 20 right now.

I don't see how he doesn't start. I get the 'energy off the bench' argument, but we need him to lock down defenders and set a tone.

Dom is the only person playing defense period! Zero energy, Sheed getting beat off the dribble all day long.

Yep. Dom is playing elite defense today. Everyone else is getting embarrassed. Pretty ridiculous considering just about all of these guys have been heralded as great defenders..

Got a ton of work to do. All the optimism of this 'deep' team has vanished for me. I still don't think we play to our strengths at all on offense and our defense is pathetic (and I don't want to hear the 'No Obekpa' excuse)

just amazed at the lack of basketball IQ, even on the last play. Only the first game, hopefully a wake up call.

Jordan the real deal on offense, Pointer is the glue to this team Jakarr starting just like last year, a bit too anxious trying to get his game going at the teams expense, would expect that to change. Sanchez sort of a non-factor this game, God's Gift had far more energy and made his presence known on the boards. Harrison is the man and will always be on this team.

Wow, is this team coached at all? That was horrific, even down to the last shot which was a wide open three? The amount of defense that St. Johns played in that game ( other then by Pointer and occasionally Jordan) would get lost on a pin head. When we went man ( what's the excuse now we certainly have depth) they penetrated like there was no one there. This win certainly didn't feel like one.  Let's hope it's opening game jitters or Wisconsin( a real team) is gonna smoke this team. Very disappointing at this stage of the game with the most experienced team in America.
