This team has played some of it's best basketball this season with extra time between games. Hopefully this translates well against Nova

I'm not even expecting a w. I just want to everyone do their part, especially our coach. Pick a line up already, and stop f'n w it.

Ok, let's regroup, get ready for and beat Villie?  How do we stop Pinkston?  Who starts?  What's our basic defense?  The view will look a lot different if we can grab a win.  is there anyone who thinks that's possible except for me?

Going to be very difficult to stop Pinkston with this group. With his post play and our players inability to play square up defense, it could get bad down low. SJU players need to stop leaving their feet for blocks and focus on playing good hard nose defense.

We're going to need to defend the pick n roll a lot better if we're going to win Saturday.
I watched some of their game against Seton Hall and they just play PnR all day long with Archidiacano.

And we kept going under every screen last year despite him hitting 3 after 3 after 3. I wouldn't be surprised if he hits 6 or 7 3s against us Saturday

We just have to hope that Lavin has realized his attempt to motivate the team was a very poor choice. He has find a more intelligent way get his point across. He embarrassed the program, the umiversity and the conference. It's our turn to man up.

It's true.  We never seem to learn from that mistake.   And even when we go underneath, somehow ballhandlers still take us to the hole.

My one Christmas wish was that we learn to both defend and run the pick and roll more effectively.   Basketball 101, but when done properly thats how you get open looks and draw the defense.

@NYPost_Brazille: Harrison: "They're 8th in the country. We get them, maybe people will get off our back." #sjubb

Certainly the media has been kind, so wonder who he means?

@FarcoSJU: This is Steve Lavin. "Some need to realize that playing college basketball is a privilege."

Hmmm

@FarcoSJU: Lavin continues to say it... "February will be when we hit our stride." I think a lot of people hope so...

@NYPost_Brazille: Lavin says if St. John's beats Dartmouth a week from Saturday, would be his best non-conference record since he's here #sjubb

@FarcoSJU: Shuffling the lineups = trying to find identity??? Steve Lavin, "Absolutely. We are not at a point where we have 5 that are the clear best"

It's quotes like this that make me believe Foad's/Fun's theory on Lavin using remarks like this as a way to deflect criticism of his inability to obtain better results from his players.

Nope. Will you be going to ceremony honoring that?
