I think we go with the old hope they miss defense.

Change the time of the game to 5pm, due to inclement weather but, don't tell Creighton.

We win by forfeit!

Omaha World Herald coverage of the game..

apparently they are last in the NCAA in blocked shots and are in awe of us in that regard.

At the beggining I though that this guy had us scouted pretty well. Then I read this, "JaKarr Sampson is the reigning Big East Rookie of the Year, is second on the team in scoring at 12.6 points a game and is their best pure shooter."

Jakarr is a pure shooter in the same way a chicken McNugget is pure white meat.
*wipes ketchup from his eyes* - I guess Heinz sight isn’t 20/20.

@VinParise: Out in beautiful Omaha, Nebraska for St. John's @ Creighton 2nite. Phil Greene did practice yesterday. (missed Butler game w/ stomach virus)

Great! We'll need Phil's 3 point sharpshooting skills to keep up with Creighton.   A "w" is practically in the bag baby!!

Sorry, just wanted to feel what it's like to be deluisionally optimisitc about our chances and Phil's skill set.

Some of you will probably call me crazy but I think this where Pointer can shine. Let's play some man and pressure defense tonight and have him on McDermott all night at all times until he gets tired, fouls out or proves that he can't play him.

1. They are an intelligent, well coached team. That spells gloom and doom for the visitors tonight.
2. Because they are an intelligent, well coached team, expect Creighton to easily dissect any full court press.
3. There will be more picks by Creighton than a full season of Eli Manning.
4. The SJU team that wins tonight is not one we've seen this year. If the Johnnies win tonight, it is because of defensive communication, calling out the picks; the quick "hot potato" passing that provided good opportunities earlier in the season; and finishing strong to close out the game. Winning the last four minutes of the game.
