Wow. Dominant half of basketball. Whatever Lavin said at halftime worked.

Yeah but Gift realizes at 6'8 240 he shouldn't try to take it coast to coast into 3 defenders ;)

lol true. Id still take his mobility and versatility on defense with a couple of terrible decisions though. Sometimes he makes some good things happen. Just needs to play smarter.

Not a great opponent, but a win that was a must. Great 2nd half by our guys. We can beat Nova even without Obekpa.

I love it....  Fuggin killed em.  Making our case for NCAA's.  Nova in trouble Saturday...  We beat Butler by 30 in a "down" game...

Other than Obepka great day. Not only the win but Providence loss and Nova will be coming off a hard win not a tough loss.

Let it fly at Nova.  We're not perfect, but  can compete with anyone.  Great guard play & an effective Karr can help negate loss of Chris.

Sampson on Pinkston I guess? Nothing you can do about it but would have been nice to have Obepka. GG going to have to play well.

Key halftime "adjustments"  ;)

We are going to have all kinds of problems inside and on the boards against Nova on Saturday.  Between Pinkston and the other big kid whose name I don't know how to spell offhand.  Plus their wings like Bell and Hilliard really attack the glass.

Either way, it is somewhat of a house money game for us.  We haven't had one of those all year pretty much.  Lose to Nova, but take care of the last 3, and I think we are in even if we go one and out in the tournament.  Beat Nova and I honestly think if we get to 20 we are in, and 21 a definite.

2-2 over the last 4 and we probably have work to do in the Big East tourney (at least one game) to not sweat it out on selection Sunday.

Not having Obekpa against Xavier could be a big problem as well.  They beat us up on the boards last time I think.

We are gonna be about 7 or 8 point underdogs at Nova Saturday. Let's not kid ourselves and think we have a 50/50 shot at that one. We have a punchers chance but we have to play a full 40 minutes, not 20 like tonight

Butler just gave up at about the 10 minute mark.

4 point dog would be my guess

PĂ®nkston has been killing us.  We need to figure out how to slow him down.
