We are gonna be about 7 or 8 point underdogs at Nova Saturday. Let's not kid ourselves and think we have a 50/50 shot at that one. We have a punchers chance but we have to play a full 40 minutes, not 20 like tonight

4 point dog would be my guess

It'll be more than that. They were 4.5 pt favs at Providence tonight, we are probably 1 or 2 points better than prov and home is an extra 3-4 points

Any chance Chris O pulls a Reed and hits te first two shots of te game and then goes back to the bench? A Lavin strategy .

Obekpa looked pretty healthy in the pre game footage.  I don't think he will be out for long.

At least one more game and probably two. Hope he gets back for Xavier.

Gonma need him for Stainbrook. Either that or Gift will have to play extended minutes.

Maybe we can borrow De  La Rosa for a game :)

Might be time to end the Sanchez experiment and have him swap minutes with God's Gift.

Sanchez didn't have the best game but did have 7pts, 11 rebounds and a couple of assists in 26 mins. That's not that bad IMO.

9 pm start is a bit too late for our older crowd.

Also barely any kids in the crowd.

I sat right by where our players exited the court.  Oblockpa had a serious limp.  I'm not happy.

There wasn't near 7000.  I would say 4000 max.

“I could break a chalkboard or rip my jacket off or throw my glasses on the ground and step on them or I could start to use vulgarities,” Lavin said. “But at this stage of the season … really.”

Obekpa, the Red Storm’s most valuable defender, almost certainly will be out for the next two games, each with major NCAA Tournament implications — at Villanova on Saturday and home against Xavier next Tuesday.

Obekpa appeared to tweak the ankle in a Monday practice at the Garden and seemed all right until he woke up the next morning in what coach Steve Lavin called “excruciating pain.” He was examined at the Hospital for Special Surgery, had the MRI and was diagnosed about four hours before game time. He sat on the bench with a walking boot.

It was partly due to the St. John's 2-3 zone – which, because of its length, is equally difficult to shoot over and slice through. But in the second half, the Bulldogs' shot selection turned ghastly. The team struggled to enter the ball to the high post, often settling for NBA-range bombs that never had a prayer.

"We were playing the No. 1 defense in the Big East, and it looked like that in the second half," Miller added.

7 pts, 11 boards and 2 assists and perfect 5 for 5 from line.  3 turnovers compared to 5 turnovers for the player of the game and people are saying he KILLS us out there.
