Call me crazy but I have a lot faith in Lavin at this point.  With all of the departures he has plenty of minutes to offer unsigned HS Sr's, grad transfers, decommits, and JUCO players.  Although it seems like there are not many players out there right now, enough certainly exist to fill the roster spots with good players.  Bring in good players who are not NBA type talents and mix them in with the studs from the 2015 class.

In all fairness, Lavin is at his best over the summer. So, yes, I agree. I think he will probably replace Jakarr, Orlando and Gift admirably.

I realize he broke the Jakarr news but jeez can we stop hanging on to every single thing said on twitter? There has been no evidence of this anywhere else

Grasso!
Where is Grasso coaching?
Even though I m worried and another year things don't look to good on paper at this time. Lavin plays things close to the vest , and it wouldn't surprise me to see 2 to 3 good recruits.

and apparently all the time in the world to post on message boards.

Say what you want, but he hasn't disappointed yet in regard to brining in highly rated talent.

Give it to ''em, Trone!

Couldnt agree more, there will be players coming here for next season, good ones.  Too many minutes to offer and Lavin is too good a recruiter not get some players in

He has stated that he wants to become a basketball coach. If he wants to learn how to coach basketball, then this is not the place for him.

I was about to say the kid shoulda stayed at Harvard, but he did leave right before the cheating scandal hit right?  Not implying he was involved, but perhaps he knew kids who were.

I would think that Jakarr leaving has to make Anthony Lee take a closer look at SJU, Nzei is intriguing, still unsiged.  How about Cinmeon Bowers, has character issues at this point but he fits the bill.  We still have to see who is transferring and/or decommitting as well, I am hopeful

I think this transfer is mutual or, at the very least, due to someone new coming on board.

How will the pieces fit?  It is a hard puzzle to complete.  It has dogged both my teams from the start of Lav's and Turgeon's tenure.  Neither team has had a natural PG until Sheed this year.  There was no real true big to speak of until CO got here.  Terps still don't have a true PG or C - it's disasters in the making when there are only too many 6'2"-6'5" non-shooters out there.

And they'll run westhead's system together, recruiting Philly guys/transfers to lead them to the Elite 8...

So one of the few guys who played hard in the NIT, where SJU was given a 1 seed, is leaving the program. Yet the guy who gets sent home for a few weeks in the middle of the season, then sits out the NIT with "tonsillitis"....he's the savior.
