It hurts to lose this one. I really, really like this team so much better than last season. They compete...Harrison (and Jordan on some switches) shut down a 6'11 potential lottery pick for several minutes to close the game when Gonzaga was looking primarily to get the ball into him (and couldn't). That was the best post defense we've seen in over a decade, and it was by a 6'3 SG. Holy sh*t. You could have taken a picture of Dee fronting Sabonis and the support beneath by the help defender and put it in a how-to defensive book.
PGIV was big-time. The kid doesn't miss on inside-out set shots. We need to get him more looks. He really competed for some big boards against much bigger guys.
Jordan has made a full season's worth of mistakes in two games. That offensive goaltending was one of the worst plays I've ever witnessed. The only person that can stop Jordan is Jordan. He needs to pick his spots better.
Harrison needs to be smarter on offense. I've been his biggest shot-selection supporter for three years, but we finally have other options now. Pick better looks from three, dude, or drive. You are nearly unstoppable driving.
Pointer...holy sh*t. Four offensive boards! This is what I wanted all last year and it killed me watching him sitting on the perimeter because I knew he could do THIS.
Refs...really? It was a foul on Dee, but the kid also flopped his ass off. You just don't make that call 40 feet from the basket when a team is down by three with 30 seconds left.
Myles Stewart, young man, don't you ever watch a missed three pointer like that again. That five-point swing cost us the game.
