I kill this guy all the time but he's been balling and so happy for him and this group of seniors today. What a way to end it!!!

Huge, huge, huge game and great play by puremoney at the end. Tremendous, signature win for this team. Just have to keep our head on straight and continue with this effort game in and game out.

The drive to the hoop was tremendous. Strongest he went to hoop in 4 years. Good for him! And us

I been on Green alot, and don't know if he should start.
But the one thing that I do know about the kid, is he needs to be in the last 10minutes of every game.

Was so happy to catch last 10 min of the game live (usually DVR) ...but green has been ballin' !! So happy for this team.

Phil Greene is currently the 5th trending topic on Twitter in the USA. I think the last time an SJU player was trending was when Hardy tiptoed the baseline and scored against Pitt

So happy he is putting the critics to rest. Sky is the limit for this team.

From Phil possibly transferring in the off season to deciding to stay and being an important part in keeping CO here and finishing their "Unfinished Business".

When Johnnies beat Cuse and Terps beat Duke, it's like I'm 5 years old under the Christmas tree all over again and again. Been a long time coming. McCullough chose the wrong school! Did I just say that? Bahahahaha

Phil also played some good D down the stretch.  Really intense player--glad to see him getting some props

Marillac breaks his silence to let Phil Greene IV know that Marillac watched that last three with tears in his eyes. Marillac could literally write for an hour about the respect and admiration he has for you.

What the people that knock you don't know is that--TO A MAN--every coach these past four seasons says that you are the most coachable kid on the roster.  Dunlap raved about your IQ, work ethic, demeanor, maturity, and ability to protect the basketball.  When there is a big recruit on campus, it is you who the staff turns to to take them around.  Marillac caught slack this week for suggesting you would be a good coach one day.  You will if that is the path you choose.

St. John's loses without Phil Greene IV tonight...no question.  Until you took over it was a stretch of mistake-filled ball that seemed very likely to continue. 

Marillac asks anyone with access to ESPN3, DVR, or any sort of replay of the game to go back to one the last timeouts before Phil took over (maybe it was at the 7 minute mark, but definitely no further out than that) to see the look on Phil's face.  It was a look of genuine fearlessness.  Marillac knew then and there it was PGIV time.  Those Syracuse kids never had any doubt...they do now.

For once, let's keep this clean and positive.  PGIV has taken more than his share of criticism.  6-1 with a possible ranking on Monday.  To Phil Greene IV!

Phil Greene at the point was the issue most had. You could argue that set him back as he looked totally uncomfortable. Playing way more aggressive now. That is all you could ask, he will have bad games, was having one today until 5 minutes left. Stayed aggressive and won the game. 

Great, great performance. All of them were huge shots, but I agree with WASJU, that layup on the break was the most impressive.

I'm right here. I criticized Lavin for using a point that couldn't run the offense as his starting point guard for almost 3 full seasons. And while Lavin deserves most of the blame there, (the rest of it belongs to that little F Nurideen Lindsay) Greene deserves praise and respect from our fan base for sticking with this program.
Jamal Branch and Rysheed Jordan are the point guards now, and that has allowed Greene to play his natural position, which is the 2 guard position. Good for him for making big plays down the stretch. When it counted most, Phil Greene was the best player on the court. Good for you Phil.

Phil played great. All kudos to him, he will be remembered fondly for a long time for this performance. 

Phil was fearless down the stretch! Great job, keep it up Phil! Only way we won this game is because all our players believed we could and would. Kudos to all the players, coaches and Johnnie fans who made the trek up to that waste land. 

I've been critical of Phil but its mostly because he was being used wrongly. When he plays the point he stagnates the offense, he's simply not a point guard. Today he showed what he does well, and that's score the basketball. His performance today will make him a St. John's favorite forever. Unfair to have him running the point. Dom did a terrific job of feeding him down the stretch too.
