15,16,17,18,24 in the AP all picked up a loss this week, but I think we fall just short. 27th is my guess.

Well let's look at the coach's poll
#25 Illinois lost to Miami - they will drop out
#24 Florida lost to Kansas - they will drop out
#23 Yukon lost to Yale - out
#22 Maryland lost to UVA - likely out
#21 Arkansas got crushed by Iowa State - likely out
#18 Michigan State lost to ND - likely out
#17 West Va lost to LSU - likely out
#16 Michigan lost to NJIT - out

Thats 8 teams near the bottom of the top 25 that lost and will most likely drop out. Have to think we have a very good chance of being one of the 8 teams that slip in there since a bunch of the teams on the top 25 bubble lost this week too.

We will be ranked.  We will go to 10-1 with great timing against against SH on the road to start conference play.  They are 7-0 with a top 15 RPI.  Our RPI will be top 15 by then.
This team has guts.  It is very easy to root for these guys.  I hope everyone can put aside the negativity and enjoy this team.  Lavin coached his ass off tonight.  They had some amazing set plays out of timeouts.  He's not the nice person some of you think he is--at least not as much of one.  Our 19 point win over NJIT (which drew plenty of negativity) looks a lot better now.

We can't overlook St Mary's and LBSU. We have had a tendency to lose these type of games at CA right before Christmas and these teams are actually decent, especially St Marys. They have the best big man in the country that nobody's heard of

Tulane isn't too bad either

Other teams we would have to leap:

26: VCU- Lost to UVA,will drop
27: Providence- Lost to BC, will drop
28:Utah: Beat Wichita St- Will be ranked
29:Butler: Went 2-0, will probably be ranked, if not, still be ahead of us
30: Northern Iowa:Needed OT to beat George Mason, but will probably still be ahead of us
31: Oklahoma State: Got killed by South Carolina, wont get votes
32: Washington: Plays SDSU at home tomorrow, a win puts them into the top 25
33: Syracuse: 2 losses, wont receive votes
34: Creighton: Lost to Tulsa, wont receive votes unless they beat Nebraska tomorrow
35: Nebraska: Beat FSU, plays Creighton tomorrow, a win and they'll be ranked.
36: Georgetown: Plays Towson tomorrow, even with a win we probably jump ahead of them
37: NC State: Lost to Purdue, beat Wake,we jump over them
38: Cal: Needed 2 OT's to beat Montana, plays Nevadda tomorrow, we probably jump them
39: Stanford:  Lost to DePaul last week, not sure how they even got votes,  we jump them.
40: Wyoming: Lost to SMU, will drop below us
41: UTEP: Lost twice this week, will not receive votes
42: Notre Dame: Beat Michigan State, will be ranked most likely, and will be ahead of us.
43: Baylor: Beat Vandy, could be ahead of us but we probably jump them with our win.

As you can see, most teams ahead of us lost. We have a fighters chance at making the Top 25.

#15 in Garry Parrish's daily poll.

http://www.cbssports.com/collegebasketball/eye-on-college-basketball/24872574

Tomorrow will be  a fun day for sure. My guess is that we will be in the 18-23 range.

I think Seton Hall is gonna start getting some looks for Top 25 too. Big East is stronger than people thought.

This team is one of the best in the country and deserving of a top 25 ranking.

If they take care of business throughout the rest of the OOC, this season can quickly start gaining steam and buzz citywide.

What's most exciting is, with hopeful wins over LBSt. and St. Mary's, our RPI/SOS is only going to get better and we can be on the verge of a top10 ranking headed into @Seton Hall.

We are all very happy with the win yesterday, but let's settle down naw.
Long Beach State and St.Mary's are no cup cakes. Neither is Tulane for that matter.
The Johnnies will be ranked when they come out for every game with a killer instinct. As a team they have to want to beat the living hell out of everyone. Even FDU. I think we'll end up around 27-30 in the polls, and I'm cool with that. The team played well as a group, but they are talented enough to play even better.

Poison, they're #15 on CBSSports, #23 KenPom. They'll be in the 18-23 range tomorrow and likely won't fall out of the top 25 for the rest of December if they play to their potential and with a sense of urgency, which shouldn't be a problem.

The first 3 games of the Big East season could all be against ranked opponents, and I think we match up favorably against all 3. We should be heavy favorites against Hall and Butler IMO.

Dec. 31st @Hall
Jan 3rd Home vs. Butler
***Jan 6th Home vs. Villanova***

The Villanova game has ridiculous potential. 9PM in the Garden on a Tuesday night, should draw 10K+, WOW.

I love this team, but we will NOT be heavy favorites against any decent team. You are like the anti Desco 80!
