Yeah, this is huge. He is our second leading scorer and we have absolutely ZERO depth. This is the beginning of the end for Lavin.
Lavin lost the right to discipline players when he F'd up last year's season.
This is just an awful post. I know you're pissed, but I'm embarassed to be cheering for the same team as you. Some of you fellas get so worked up so fast. I think I am going to start a booth outside Carnesecca Arena selling pitchforks. The kid has been playing like garbage. He thinks he's better than he is by a long shot, but this wouldn't be addition by substraction like Sampson and Sanchez. We need what this kid can be if he starts to get it together. He'll be back...he just needed his come to Jesus moment.
I stand by what I said. I don't care what he did, Lavin should man up and take his medicine. He's not getting a contract extension. I'd fire him tomorrow if Jordan is suspended for even one game. So sick of this BS. It's his program, and in year 5, everything that goes wrong is his fault. Everything.
Am I the only one picturing Poison in onesie pajamas with a doll throwing a tantrum?
Perhaps you are Marillac. From what I am hearing the suspension is real. I am not sure if it is for the season, but that is the read of many I respect. If so, do you really believe Jordan would take his medicine & return next year? I for one would lean toward him suiting up for the Borneo Bambinos before that outcome.

I think Jordan is one of the most selfish and immature players that has ever put on a St. John's uniform.  I have no faith in him returning next season if he was in fact suspended for the year.
My response to Poison was about him posting tht Lavin should "take his medicine" from Jordan--a 19 year old diva that needs a serious adjustment to be the best player and person he can be.  The only chance this team has to reach its potential is to get that kid on board playing like the rest of the team.  He's hurting us really badly thus far.

The replacement for Jordan should be Lipscomb. Jordan was running the point off the bench. Hopefully Stewart can help a little as well, but he looked too fragile and lost on defense to really make a difference. Maybe Balamou can turn it on in a reserve role? Either way, Jordan will not be replaced, and we are struggle to win every single game except for maybe Depaul. this program really is snake bitten.

St. John's Rysheed Jordan is not suspended, especially for season. He will miss Butler for personal reasons. Leave of absence. Calm down.

I dont post much but this is the most absurd thing I've seen in a long time. There's a reason why Jordan lost his starting spot, why he's potentially suspended indefinitely/rest of season and a reason why I dont like him. He's selfish. His style doesnt seem to fit in on this team and while not necessarily addition by subtraction, I don't think this team will "struggle to win". Stewart, Balamou, Lipscomb are not double digit minute Big East players.
We have Branch, Greene, Harrison and can rotate in Balamou first and Stewart second when those guys are in foul trouble or tired. Pointer can play the 3/4 the whole game. If anything, this opens up opportunities down low for JDLR or Christian Jones to step up.

Harrison, Dom, Branch, Mo, Kar were all highly rated. You know this.  Obekpa was coveted. So was Sanchez.  If you are saying that the shine has come off and he can't anymore, I won't argue with you as we haven't, I'm not going to argue with you because Sheed was the last one.

As far as vague goes, you posted something indicating you are hearing crazy stuff, wihout explanation. That could mean anything ....

[justify]"head coach Steve Lavin announced that Rysheed Jordan is taking a leave of absence from the basketball program as he deals with personal and family matters in Philadelphia. “Rysheed will take an indefinite leave of absence from our basketball program and will not be with the team as he focuses his attention on personal and family circumstances,” said "

So, my post is absurd, but you'd like to replace Jordan w a center that doesn't score, and has no coordinstion, and a SF who hasn't scored more than 4 points in a game in over a year?
You don't think they'll struggle to win? We'll see tomorrow, won't we?

I think that's highly highly unlikely. If he was expected back in less than a week they would just say he'll be gone a few days to deal with some family stuff, but indefinite leave makes it sound like it'll be a good amount of time. I wouldn't count on him returning until late January at the earliest

I think he'll be back for Nova.
The guys will play possessed tomorrow and improve to 2-0 without him to prove a point.

He'll take another long weekend in Philly and drive back with friends and family.  He has no leverage in this situation.

Death to a loved one is what I had heard when I posted that it wasn't a long-term thing before the rumors really got going.
