Has anyone ever been told what the reason behind him not being allowed to not talk to the media? I can understand as a Frosh, but this year too? Seemed odd to me.

I honestly think that he is, more or less, an 8 year old.

I think if he was gone for good he would've said so, or Lavin would have dismissed him/announced a season long suspension.

Staff holding out small bit of hope he comes back I believe. If he is not on the team, I seriously doubt he finishes out school year. Become official end of this month would be my guess.

Staff is clueless on the situation

Don't you think it's arrogance that's driving this? His Twitter handle is Black Jesus, and a kid with the name Jordan chose the number 23. I don't know which example is a more blatant example of a person that thinks he's better than everyone.
Amazing to see the arrogance of our players. How many NCAAs have they been to? How many NBA stars have we produced? Pathetic. The imaturity is part of the culture of arrogance at St.John's. Everyone thinks they're better than they are.

I think if Lavin felt the team wouldn't miss a beat without Jordan he would have booted him for the season. Think Lavin is just leaving the door open because he believes the team might really need him if they want to make the tournament

Besides for all we know Jordan is a mute, who would he tell?

The kid is only coming back if upper classmen let him.

Laughable. As we get more information?
From Zagoria article
“No, no, he will not be playing against Villanova,” said Lavin.
When asked if Jordan had played his last game at St. John’s, Lavin said,  “At this point it’s too soon. As we get more information, I’ll be able to share.”

Jordan’s teammates, like everyone else, learned the news on Friday night.

“We all got a text, we got together in the hotel [Friday] night,” senior guard D’Angelo Harrison said. “It hurts but our job is to go out and play every day and get ready for Tuesday.”

Team needs him, but do the seniors want him back? I think they do, Harrison needed time away from the team and it changed him,
Would have 2.5 years left if he transferred.

He would have 2 years not 2.5

D angelo 2 - Lavin has proven if pushed too far he will suspend any player regardless of talent, impact etc.  Remember Dangelo was suspended when we were on the cusp of an NCAA bid (we all know what happened to that season).  The major difference is DLo looked in the mirror and has become the heart and soul of this program.

I am fairly certain Jordan has no such fortitude and will run away.  Yes he has more god given talent than DLO but lacks heart, drive and the maturity to look beyond blaming everyone except himself.

Personally I have great sympathy for our seniors especially D LO.
