Absolute must win. Injuries are no excuse, every team has them at this point of the season

BS!

Any word on Mobley? His knee kept him out Monday. If Hall doesn't have Sina, Gibbs, and Mobley then a loss is inexcusable.

Mobley could be sidelined again this weekend, but I'm sure we'll hear more by Friday.  Regardless, he probably won't be 100%, if he does play.  Without Gibbs, Sina, and Mobley being less than a 100% should be a win for us.
If we play like we did yesterday ,we wont win. This is the metropolitan area show case.

If Seton Hall plays like they've played of late, then they won't win either.  We can do this all day long.

I don't care anything about this being a metropolitan area show case.  That stuff is overhyped, IMO.
SHU has looked bad lately and we should win. But ,I wouldn't call the game a gimme, were not playing FDU .

I never called it a "gimme."  I said, we should win, and I expect to win.

Harrison looked better than Obekpa, worried about his ankle.

Should have never went into that Creighton game in the first place.

Absolutely, I dont think lavin has made too many in game coaching mistakes this year but that one stands out. We were up twenty, he didnt play in the first, he elbowed a kid in the head the game before. Why did we need him?

If we don't beat SH, we don't deserve to go to the dance.  Simple as that.  SH couldn't beat a MAAC team right now with the way they are playing.

Need more consistency from Jordan, Harrison, Obekpa....  Phil and Dom have been the most consistent players during this stretch...

D-lo, I chalk up to injuries....  Jordan has been dreadful sans 2 minutes against Xavier... Obekpa hasn't been same since he threw the elbow.

It's up to Lavin to get the most out of these guys during the most important stretch of their careers.   Now or never.

He was perfectly healthy . Can't knock a coach for playing a healthy player. Their were 20 minutes left in the game . Regardless of score can't complain giving him minutes. Harrison played the rest of the game as did everyone else.

need to get to 21, and @nova is highly unlikely, so this game is super important. should be a fun one.  hopefully harrison and jordan bounce back.

Freak accident.  You can't put that on any coach.  The kid served his time and you want to get him right back on the horse after something like that.
Plus, it's not like we haven't blown huge second half leads this season and Creighton wasn't capable of mounting a comeback with all their shooters.

As for SH, you have to be very confident.  Gibbs is such a good, underrated player.  He just kills us with his savvy play, IQ, and deep shot.  I wish Whitehead played in the first match up.

Three in a row boys...starting with SH.  When you are sponsored by UA, you must protect this house.

20 will eliminate any and all doubts.  Our SOS is #30 and RPI is #37!!!!!  and we have a bunch of highly ranked RPI opponents to go:  #66, #43, #20,@ #137, and @#4.

21 was last year's bar after the RPI collapsed from the Depaul Loss and ended at #65.

I'll take you word for it, I thought we would only be around 50/50 if we got to 20.  It would be pretty good if we could get in with only three more wins.  In that case we could lose to xavier, gtown, and @nova and still make it in with a win in first round of the BE tourney OR we could beat xavier, marquette, and seton hall and still make the NCAAs with a first round loss in the BE tourney.  I would like those odds

I don't think 20 gets us in, because I don't think the committee counts Franklin Pierce.   Until this year I never remember DII games counting towards the record, but that could just be my memory.

Total wins don't really matter. It's quality of wins. We had 21 wins last year but were 2-9 against teams that made the tourney. We currently only have 2 wins against a team thats anything more than a bubble team, and both those wins were against the same team

Our RPI, as Marillac stated, was the one that did us in last season.  Currently, we are #37 in RPI rankings.  We are 2-6 versus top 25 RPI teams; 1-0 (26-50); and, 3-1 (51-100).  We still have chances to increase on those rankings, as Marillac also stated above.

My opinion: 9-9 and one conference tournament win, and we're in.  10-8 conference finish, and we're already in (the dance) before playing our first game in the Big East tournament.

He was perfectly healthy in the first half too. Lavin didn't announce a 'first half' suspension. He could have just sat him the whole game.

I believe the 1st half suspension was mentioned before the game, could be wrong though.

I did know he was in trouble, we all did. We didnt know he was suspended. He didnt say for how long, just that he wouldnt be starting, maybe I am wrong about that.  But at that point, up twenty, at home, 18 minutes left, team playing GREAT, why not just sit him for the game and call it a one game suspension. Just my opinion.
