Game Preview: My thoughts... http://wp.me/p197Z5-2VW

Still waiting on that Lovett news you teased on Twitter.
I keep coming back here looking for it.

Just wondering.
Could Lovett play if there isn't any word from the ncaa? because if the ncaa says nothing then they never said that he isn't cleared.
Have to wait for NCAA clearance. Can't play the well you didn't say no game.

Everyone is afraid of the NCAA, but Mullin did say that he might have to fly to Indianapolis. This is where bringing Ron Artest back to the program would be a great move. That's who we should send to Indianapolis on LoVett's behalf. They'll either clear him immediately, or Artest will murder them. It's s win win.

After reading the prior posts a few comments.....Why care about Mullin's activity on the sidelines? I don't recall Wooden jumping up and down like an idiot...most coaching done in practice, in game is all about adjustments and encouragements, no need to act like a hyper idiot.  Team will be fine if Lovett qualifies, need him at the point to get Mussini and everyone else open....kid is quick.  Team will not finish last in BE and has the potential, by midseason, to worry the rest of the league.  Need time to develop and get to know each other.   will definitely have some problems early losing some games SJU should never lose....Wagner game will be telling.  Im thinking 6-7 BE wins with one good upset.

Has any high conference program ever lost two games in one season to a division 2 team? This is embarrassing......

I took the 32. Feeling pretty good. Of course I'm drunk, so there's that.

Because the players don't move without the ball, and that's a great sign of a team that doesn't understand the game. Mullin has always been a soft spoken guy. That's a quality that really sucks in a college basketball coach. He needs to turn the volume up. These kids have no idea what they're doing. They play like old ladies.

With LoVett, maybe this team can win 8 games.

Well you know who DID jump up and down most times one of our players took a shot down the stretch??   ;)

In all seriousness I really didn't have an issue with Mullin's sideline presence today.  Thought it seemed like he was much more vocal and active than the first game.  This is going to be a feeling-out process for him too.  Unfortunately he's never coached anywhere on any level, so his presence, voice, bench management, timeout management, etc. are all things he's going to feel out on the fly.  It is a bit unusual to see an assistant (and a 24 year old one, at that) consistently leading the charge during timeouts the way that is, but this might be Mullin transitioning into the role and feeling things out.  Overall I thought his presence was much more commanding today than on Wednesday.

IDK of you were referring to Lou when you mentioned jumping up and down, but that's who you described. That's how he coached. Mullin can have his style, any style, sure he can, if the team is awesome, but if the team is lost and he's just sitting there, it looks really bad. Get up and yell. You're not their friends. These kids seem way too comfortable considering how shitty they are.

Mullin's demeanor on the sideline was fine. It was an exhibition that we easily won, why would he be acting like a maniac? At one point he got Driscolls attention from across the floor and voiced his displeasure for one of the foul calls on Mussini.

This was not an easy win. We didn't look like a team.

The game was never in doubt in the 2nd half. I can't believe I actually have to defend a coach's sdeline demeanor in an exhibiton game. Chill out people.

I tutored Ron in Calculus (he was a math major) back in the day. A rather strong looking young man.  He actually might make an impression on the NCAA. Maybe he could make them an offer they couldn't refuse. (you WERE referring to Luca Brazzi, weren't you).  He sleeps with the fishes.

Like Wednesday's game I didn't care about wins oe losses, but just show improvement, and that's what they did.
Atleast it was under 20 turnovers for the whole game.

I didn't see the game but I assume that they looked alot better.
I'll be there Friday.

Lou umped around a lot but was awful in the post season when it counted

Anyone besides Sima look good. I was thinking Durand would be really good this year.
Durand has really bad form on his shot.  And he line drives it.  No arc. His arms and legs are all over the place.  The thing is he hit them in the Red White but not against the DII teams.  Troubling.

How is that troubling?  If his form was bad and he never hit them it would be an issue.
He has hit 36% of his 3's in his career previously.
