Mussini is a 4 year starter. Make Him team captain now, this is his show

Gotta hand it to you, Baldi.  You were on this one early.  The kid is awesome.  I didn't think we'd see this for at least a year.  I think Lovett and Yakwe redshirting is going to be the best thing that happened to this program in a long time.  Between Mussini and Porzingis, the future of NYC has become pretty bright out of nowhere--speaking of kids playing a year or two ahead of what I expected.

You just have to love a kid that's always under control after guys like Jordan, Sampson, Sanchez, and Dom playing so crazy the last few seasons.  The next step has to be for him to start getting assists off his drives.  He's getting to the basket several times a game, but he needs to starting hitting guys in the corner for threes and dumping or wrapping the ball around to Sima and others as the season moves along.

Not even 75%.  It might be even worse that he was misused and underused for so long.  He had a very promising freshman season that won over both Fun and I -- and that is not a common occurrence.  The things he did well like his poise, playing within his game, hustling and rebounding were just not thing Lavin valued.  If you could go back in time you would redshirt Dom his junior year and play Balamou.  Then we'd have Dom this season and a Balamou with experience. 

I like Lavin less every day. 

Lavin was trying to save his job after years of laziness. In doing so, rolled the dice with kids careers

So far it appears that he would struggle stopping the dribble drive penetration of a sloth.

I think it was with a minute left and the Indiana player stole the ball, threw it in the air, caught it and made a layup.

I don't remember the play, but if when he "threw it in the air" it was considered a try,  than the shooter is allowed to collect it and have another try.  Regardless of whether it catches rim or backboard.

I was always a fan of Walton...but his "color" was butt awful.  Maybe he did the game by remote from Jupiter.  Awful..

Walton is much worse then the Great alaska shoot out crew from 5 years ago.

Walton's a nut and completely out there but at least he's entertaining. I've enjoyed listening to him since he and Steve "Snapper" Jones were part of the broadcast calling Knicks playoff games on NBC back in the mid 90's.

Mussini is so impressive. I have no idea how he is able to get his shoulder past his defender so often for a guy his size. You can see him attempting to lead out there which is a great sign. Seriously can't say enough how exciting him, Lovett, and Ponds will be.

I'm impressed that Mussini can hold down being the primary ball handler. It's clearly not his natural position, but he's been fine. I would absolutely love to see him off the ball next year (or maybe when Lovett is eligible/healthy), going around screens and what not.

Oh,  I saw that play Mase.  It was definitely not a violation.

A player is allowed to begin his dribble by pushing, batting or throwing the ball to the court in any manner he would like.  Except for punching the ball with a closed fist of course.

So theoretically,  a player could throw the ball 50 ft. down the court to himself then go there and continue his dribble.

It's crazy, right?

I thought the rule was you could throw it, but once you caught it your dribble was dead.  Either way its probably a rule worth eliminating.

You're right.  If he throws it ahead and stops and catches it, his dribble has ended.

He would have to throw it ahead to himself then continue dribbling when he gets there.
