Gee, this thread is quiet.
Really Poison? In your last post in the fordham thread you admitted to making knee jerk reactions on two players and being wrong. In his first collegiate road game, playing against a senior who is playing the best of his life, Sima got dominated. If that changes your opinion on him fine. All that means is you'll have 24 for opinions about him by the time the season is done.
I think he has potential, but I take issue with people who are quick to cast Obekpa aside saying we're better off without him because Sima is a more well rounded player. He played like a woman tonight. My opinion is that I would like him to still be on my team. I could give a shit what he does on his own time. This game was a disgrace. I'm glad that it wasn't televised.
Some folks of the team like to devour their own. Some folks also like to jump the gun, as well. I like Sima, and believe he's gonna be more than a solid player when it's said and done. But, I'd also like to have Obekpa on this team, as well. The same Obekpa who people felt could've or would've been the missing piece to beating San Diego State in the last season's NCAA Tournament. Some people also piss on Obekpa because he's affiliated with Lavin. Silly.
Maybe, Obekpa eventually grows up in time. Unfortunately, some people probably see him as a pawn for their entertainment. GTFOH! I wanna win, as much as anyone on here, but keep things in perspective. No need to crap on him. Wish the guy luck, and hope he gets it right shortly.
