Syracuse - Player of the Game

A very balanced effort led to a great win.   I'm giving my vote to Amar.
He's a leader on the court, and produced on both ends today.

Tough to pick.  Chose Yakwe - he kept our lead nearly singlehandedly during an important stretch in second half after jones and sima each got 3 fouls, and had that key block as well.  Could go very deservingly to any of these guys.

I think the coaching staff prob deserves the nod for todays win though....

This was a TEAM effort.  That should be a choice.

That putback dunk by Amar and that bomb of a 3 from him were the two biggest plays of the game. It was a total team effort though but if I had to pick one player it'd be him

I went with Mussini.. He saved the day down the stretch while Amar almost gave the game away ( along with Jones) with some head scratching decisions and turnovers.. 

 Only reason I went Fed over Amar... Fed helped really put the game away

Amar, going with the player who had his best game as a Johnny against a formidable opponent. .

A game which was a team victory

Amar was big, but this goes to mussini. His entry passes changed the whole game. When he was out for a short stretch in the 1st we couldn't get the ball in. Also big ups to the coaching staff for their offensive game plan (of course draining threes from everywhere doesn't hurt)

Mu showed leadership but Ali brought great energy--he has been keeping his fouls down and his minutes have gone up.  There was a 3 minute stretch in the first half when the game turned around when he hit a three/slammed a put back/drove to the hoop for 7 points.

Went with Amar but this was absolutely a team win.

Went w/ Amar as I'm not sure what would have been the outcome if he didn't perform.  The others had great games, but some of that we've seen pieces of or expected.  Amar's energy and confidence was noticeable so he gets my vote.

Amar because he is undefeated against cuse AND has multiple wins against them... When was the last Johnnie(s) to do that?

Mussini. We stunk when he sat sand he was responsible for so much of the facilitating of the ball movement that gave the open shots

Yak. Was the main target in breaking the pre$ and allowing Freddy to throw inside. Then either became a whirling dervish who scored inside and out very much Walter like.

On most days the stat line of any of the 5 could win it. gave ever so slight edge to FM for his 5 threes and good job controlling the pace of the game.

Hard to pick a player of the game, because each guy stepped up and played well. Mussini hit shots, Johnson played like a leader, Yakwe had a breakout game, Alibegovic had himself the game of his life, and Sima was a defensive force. However, I have to go with Amar. He had the team fired up and hit some huge shots and an awesome putback slam.

There's still time to climb on the Alibandwagon ®. Seating though is limited.

I gave it to Amar.  I may never get another chance to.  All in all, a great team effort.

+1  My dad and I were commenting earlier that his game was very walter-esque.
